A fabulous holiday home that the whole family will love, located in the Cairngorm National Park. Spacious bedrooms and living spaces make this the perfect Highland retreat.

Set in an area which is popular with hillwalkers, cyclists and whisky enthusiasts, this luxurious architect-designed home is the perfect setting for those looking for a peaceful holiday in the countryside. Sleeping eight guests over four bedrooms, careful consideration has been given to the practical requirements of an active, outdoor holiday, with the utility room having plenty of drying space for wet clothes and the boot room ideal for storing all your outdoor gear. Both stylish and extremely comfortable with underfloor heating throughout the whole ground floor, return after a busy day exploring to relax in a little bit of luxury.

A double-height roof with a cupula complements flagstone floors, cream walls and large windows to create a contemporary and bright interior. The cleverly designed layout maximises the open-plan space, with cosy corners to hide in and great areas to gather together in comfort and style. Tweed sofas acknowledge the Highland location, whilst copper light fittings throughout are reminiscent of the nearby whisky stills and are a beautiful touch to the interior.

Light and bright, the exceptional open-plan living space is the heart of the house, with windows on three aspects giving panoramic views over the surrounding countryside which can be enjoyed from comfortable sofas. Centred around the wonderful wood burner which stretches up to a glass cupula, cosy nights in can be had from all areas of the room after a day out exploring. Prepare delicious meals in the kitchen area and dine together at the table surrounded by elegant and considered furniture.

Bright, spacious and tastefully furnished throughout, sumptuous bedding and matching curtains complement warm wooden floors and cream walls in the bedrooms, adding a boutique feel to your stay. A king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room is on the ground floor, whilst a further three lovely bedrooms are upstairs, each enjoying unspoilt views of the countryside with the rural location meaning there won’t be a single sound to disturb you from a peaceful night’s sleep. Retained in the bathrooms, the neutral palette and skylights create a fresh and serene place to enjoy a soak.

Children will spend many, happy hours playing in the open, lawned garden, while many delicious al fresco meals can be enjoyed on the patio, with patio doors leading to the open-plan living space. Start your days with a coffee in the early sunshine, and end it with a BBQ around the fire pit with a glass of wine or a wee dram, stargazing in the dark, night sky. There is ample private parking.

The northern reaches of the Cairngorms National Park is best known for the magical landscape and array of attractions, especially during the winter months when skiing is at its best. The popular ski centre is a 13-mile drive away where you can hit the slopes whether you are a complete beginner or highly experienced. Cyclists will appreciate the thrills and spills across the region, hiring mountain bikes and setting off along the trails with a picnic in tow. For those who prefer more leisurely adventures, you’ll be able to access a plethora of footpaths from your doorstep so all you’ll need to remember is your binoculars. Red squirrel, deer and golden eagles can be spotted at various locations, so bring your camera. Not content with exploring on foot or by bike, why not embrace the Speyside Whisky Trail and use your taste buds instead, sampling the amber liquid from nine different locations. The nearest distillery is within 6.5 miles, and the furthest is 34 miles away, but it is certainly worth the longer drive to complete the trail.

Absolutely gorgeous property in the heart of Speyside / Glenlivet Estate. My family had a marvelous time going on walks, distillery tours, and just sitting outside listening to the neighboring animals. We would certainly stay here again.
