Loved the cottage! Unpredictably the weather was great for our stay so we didn't use the log burner or sauna as much as we planned to but I'm not complaining! Rooms are so much larger than they look on the pictures. We will look to come here again, we found the village had everything we needed within walking distance and weren't bothered by any noiRead morese from the coop even with our windows open. Hide

Lovely cottage in great location to use as a base for exploring the surrounding countryside and also some lovely walks from the doorstop. Co-op dangerously close for those breakfast pastries. Cottage itself very well equipped and comfy- although am disappointed we didn't get round to using the sauna! Ideal location for amenities however it was noisy in the morning with the local Co-op getting deliveries before opening.

Enjoyed our stay overall. We did everything you could visit wise in and around the area so unlikely to be back. Comfortable home and we enjoyed the sauna too. Local shops were good too. Dog walks were superb. Owner provided advice on those as did some friendly villagers. Our first break in ages so it was very welcome.

Really enjoyed our stay. Thornhill has lots of places to visit with dogs, from woods to the Nith River and more. It has a Co-op and Spar next to each other. Tried the chippy the first night which was nice. Night before we left we had a Chinese which was also good. It does have a back door which leads into an alleyway which is shared. 2 cats stay outside day and night but are friendly. Hide

It's an ideal base for walking, very handy for local amenities. It has no views and the yard is not great. The cottage was Immaculately clean, very comfortable bed and quality linen, good shower, everything you need in the kitchen. Comfy sofa, smart TV. Eden cottage was fine, no problems, everything worked ok, and almost all my requirements were met. The shared yard was a slight issue, in that one of my dogs took against one of the neighbour's cats. Parking outside made entry/exit easy, and Co-op across the road was very convenient.
