Part of a small complex of properties, the cottage also offers access to a fabulous range of shared extras including a sauna, gym and a games room.

Featuring stunning views over the countryside and out towards the River Tay to the south, this bright and fresh holiday getaway also offers a bubbling private wood-fired hot tub and a roaring open fire. The property has been decorated in light, fresh and relaxing shades, and has been tastefully furnished to provide a refreshing, airy and inviting holiday home.

Entering the property, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has plenty of seating a Smart TV and a wood burner, providing an ideal space in which everyone can unwind, watch a great movie, prepare a meal, or socialise around the dining table. Exploring the ground floor further, there are the first two bedrooms: both twin zip-and-link rooms which can be made up into super-king-size rooms on request. There’s also a spacious ground-floor bathroom.

Going upstairs, you will find the final bedroom, an en-suite super-king-size room.

Glass doors lead from the lounge onto the charming patio area which features a good choice of outdoor furniture, a BBQ and the bubbling hot tub, perfect for spending a night stargazing. The mature garden surrounds the cottage, and you will also have access to shared features including the Swedish-style sauna, a gym, tennis court, croquet lawn, summer house and a games room which is equipped with a pool table, table football, dartboard, table tennis and a choice of books and board games.

The property is surrounded by 40 acres of breathtaking countryside, and the decked viewing platforms mean you can take in the magnificent panoramas of this spellbinding corner of Perthshire. There are plenty of walking, cycling and hiking routes from the doorstep, as well as chances to meet some of the resident sheep.

The picturesque village of Abernyte (1.5 miles) is the home of the Scottish Antique and Arts Centre, with other local attractions including the impressive Glamis Castle (21 miles), the popular wedding venue of Fingask Castle (3.5 miles) and the remains of Moncur Castle (4 miles).

Heading west you can explore the historic city of Perth (14 miles). The former capital of Scotland for 500 years, Perth lies along the banks of the River Tay, and has a wide range of independent shops, supermarkets, pubs, cafes, restaurants, art galleries and museums. The city has a long history going back over a millennium, and there are plenty of fascinating landmarks and attractions to discover, including the Fair Maid’s House, Scone Palace, St Ninian’s Cathedral, Huntingtower Castle, Perth Concert Hall and Theatre, Perth Museum and Art Gallery and Perth Racecourse.

Heading east, Dundee (12.5 miles) is home to the V&A Dundee, Camperdown Wildlife Centre, Broughty Castle Museum, HMS Unicorn, the Dundee Museum of Transport, and the McManus Art Gallery and Museum, as well as some cheerful and welcoming places to eat and drink. The area is also host to three major golf courses: Carnoustie, St Andrews and Gleneagles (all within 30 miles).

Outfield is in a beautiful quiet area. The view from the patio area is lovely, with the bonus of the hot tub, supplied with all the logs to fire it up. My family enjoyed a very pleasant week in this lovely well equipped cottage. There's is something for everyone to do in the surrounding area. We also spent time at the cottage, making use of the gamRead morees room, croquet lawn and boules set. My husband and daughter enjoyed playing tennis. As I d mentioned before a fabulous family holiday, was had by all , Including our Grandchildren, who were kept occupied by the tremendous on site, facilities. Too many to mention. A very private location which was Ideal for recharging the Batteries, so to speak. . Great hosts as well, who couldn't do enough. The online photos of houses can be deceiving at times. It did not disappoint. A beautiful house set in a gorgeous location. We will have to come back again. So relaxing and peaceful.

We spent a wonderful week at Outfield in a delightful, perfectly located, 3 bedroomed cottage. Facilities were superb. The bedrooms were of a good size, with comfortable beds, The large room upstairs had an ensuite bathroom & there was a large bathroom downstairs. Outfield cottage has been restored sympathetically. It was a great place to spend time with our family. The cottage is comfortable and has great amenities. We had a lovely stay, the facilities were fantastic and well used by our family of 4 boys aged 10-14. Who needs Xbox! Top quality family time with amazing views from every angle. Highly recommend this place.
