This picturesque lodge sits amidst glorious countryside just south of the Pentland Hills and is also within striking distance of Edinburgh. Comfortable and welcoming, it is ideal for a family or group of friends seeking a breath of fresh air in the Scottish Borders.
Inside, the traditional log house is warm and welcoming. The soft blue colour scheme of the large, open-plan living area complements the natural wood beautifully and creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere. There are carefully chosen pieces of art on the walls throughout the property, adding a sophisticated feel.
As you enter this single-storey lodge, you’ll find yourself in the stylish open-plan living area. This lovely space is perfect for family get-togethers, with a tidy, well-equipped kitchen at one end, and a cosy lounge area at the other, where there is a comfy corner sofa and TV for evening entertainment. The dining table benefits from plenty of light as it sits next to two large windows that offer charming views out into the garden. The three bedrooms – two doubles and one twin – are all beautifully decorated in tasteful, subtle colours and all have lovely views through the windows. The main bathroom benefits from a jacuzzi bath with a shower above – ideal for soaking tired limbs after a day out exploring. There is a second 'Jack and Jill' style bathroom which is accessed via one of bedrooms and hallway. This has a large shower and WC.
Stepping outside you come onto the pretty veranda. Sheltered and south facing, it is a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy a drink or a meal, and gaze out at the attractive garden, with its mature shrubs and trees, and to the fields beyond. There is a private hot tub which is charged at £150 per week or £100 for a short break, payable directly to the owner.
