Luxurious accommodation all on one level offering modern living with king-size bedroom and lounge/kitchen/diner. 4 luxury and attractive bespoke detached lodges set privately around a large secluded bay, each with an enclosed balcony with a private hot tub and seating. Located in an elevated position with stunning sea views, a stone’s throw from the seashore. Post Office, shop and restaurant 2 miles.

This stunningly designed lodge sits in a remarkable location on an estate, curling around the waves of Rascarrel Bay. With a gorgeous balcony, a hot tub, and many more delights inside, this property could be the site of your next romantic retreat, giving you prime access to scenic trails through the hills and valleys of Dumfries and Galloway.

One of four lodges, it is tucked into the landscape, the architecture fitting perfectly. The style of the interiors is contemporary, chic, and calming, with luxurious touches that will make your stay very memorable.

Enter into your sociable living space, an open-plan room with large windows and doors that present the whole vista of the bay. The kitchen is a sleek space tucked into the corner with a romantic dining table. The spacious lounge area comes complete with a TV and French doors leading out to the balcony. Head through to your en-suite bedroom, with its sumptuous king-size bed, and its own set of doors leading outside.

The balcony space is the real highlight of this property, a large decked area including outdoor furniture so you can enjoy an al fresco supper in the sea air. A hot tub offers the perfect place to unwind, not just from a day in the hills but from your normal, busy life.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The lodge is located in a stunning position, elevated above the rugged coast alongside Rascarrel Bay. The estate on which the lodge sits is the perfect place to begin your exploration of the breathtaking and varied landscape of Dumfries and Galloway. Take a hike around the estate, embark on an adventurous cycle ride, or simply stroll down to the sea's edge to peer across these mysterious waters.

There are plenty of activities to pursue beyond the estate, too. Whisky tasting, golfing, and sea and loch fishing are just some of the pursuits you can enjoy. For amenities and even a restaurant meal out, head to the quaint village of Auchencairn, 3 miles away.

Head inland towards the woods of the Galloway Forest Park and make a pit-stop for some hearty scran on the way at Castle Douglas. The town is full of attractions, boutiques, historical sites, all in stunning surroundings. The River Dee floats by, with an island in one of its bends upon which stands the imposing 30-metre tower of Castle Threave. This mighty fortress dates back to 1369, when Archibald the Grim cast his shadow, and is now home to peregrine falcons.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Rascarrel Bay and this time was just as lovely as the last. The cabin is in a beautiful and peaceful location. It is clean and well equipped and the owners went the extra mile with fresh flowers, chocolates, dog treats and wine. We had a fabulous holiday and will definitely be back.
