Enjoy a luxurious romantic break in this superb stylish and spacious detached lodge. Relax in the sauna or unwind in the fantastic private hot tub and admire the spectacular uninterrupted sea views.

Perfectly positioned on the splendid, private Rascarrel Bay, this luxurious lodge is perfect for soothing solitude or a romantic break for two - just make sure your four-pawed pals come along too! Within a stone’s throw from the seashore, yet close to all local amenities, step out of the front door to enjoy plentiful, varied walks along 200 miles of beautiful coastline, wiling away the hours getting happily lost in nature.

This contemporary retreat is serene in soft neutral tones in sand, blue and grey reflecting the rugged coastal location. Complemented by cream walls and wooden details, light floods through the almost wall-to-wall windows, strategically positioned so you can enjoy the incredible seaside views from virtually every angle, creating a calming and peaceful atmosphere.

Climb a small flight of steps and discard outdoor clothing in the spacious hallway and venture into the fabulous and spacious open-plan living space. Large, comfortable sofas invite you to snuggle down with a movie, as the room becomes cosy and warm once the wood burner-effect electric fire is lit. On warm evenings, open the French doors and dine alfresco on the deck, and if the weather turns, retreat to the covered deck to relax under fantastic, multi-coloured, twinkling mood lighting. Wake to magnificent sea views in the tranquil bedroom and start the day with an al fresco breakfast.

Step outside to the spacious, fully enclosed patio area, which provides a safe haven for your dogs. Start your days with a stretch in the sauna and end your days under the stars with a soak in the hot tub, making this a holiday to remember.

The Retreat surpassed our expectations. Everything about it is perfect! So comfortable and an idyllic location. The luxury of the hot tub and sauna after a long coastal or woodland walk was wonderful. The decking area was a lovely sheltered sunny spot to watch the birds and wildlife. Perfect get-away for a peaceful, romantic holiday!

Our first visit to the new Retreat Lodge was just as stunning as previous visits to lodges 3 & 4. The different lay-out of the Retreat, together with the sauna made our seventh visit to Rascarrel Bay even more enjoyable. The views of the bay are superb in this fabulous location. Thanks to Fiona and Team for another great week.

Whether you choose to explore the Highlands, lowlands or islands, lovers of the great outdoors will be thrilled by the stunning Scottish landscapes where some of the rarest UK wildlife can be glimpsed, including golden eagles, dolphins and whales. Take a road trip on the North Coast 500, Scotland’s version of Route 66, to experience the sheer beauty of the land’s wilderness or, as Scotland is the home of golf, either tee off at one of the 550 courses across parkland, heathland and links courses.

Scotland is also a land of unique culture where the people are renowned for their incredible warmth and hospitality. Experience the peaceful Isle of Lewis where Scots Gaelic is widely spoken, or immerse yourself in the cosmopolitan cities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen which are vibrant with thriving arts scenes, delicious restaurants and bustling nightlife. And no trip to Scotland is complete without exploring the castles and distilleries: learn about clan rivalries or bloody battles amongst 13th-century battlements or try a taste of Scotland itself during a tour of one of the 120 whisky distilleries. Pure Scottish culture in a glass.

With so many beautiful places to visit and things to experience, a break to Scotland should not be missed. Our fantastic Scottish holiday cottages will ensure a truly memorable getaway.
