Standing proudly on the shores of Loch Long in the village of Cove, this stunning period ground-floor flat is elegant and classy. It is an ideal property for friends and families to escape their hectic lives and relax in the tranquillity of the surrounding area. The coastal village of Cove is situated on the south-west side of the Rosneath Peninsula in Argyll and Bute. It has convenient amenities such as a shop, tearoom and pub. There is a range of activities on offer, whether you’re into walking, cycling, water sports or fishing, particularly at the holiday resort of Rosneath (4 miles). Benefitting from the gulf stream, the peninsula is also home to a botanic garden.

 

Sympathetically decorated to reflect its Victorian heritage, this flat boasts original features, statement furniture, sumptuous soft furnishings and large windows that frame the stunning scenery outside.

 

From the hallway, you can enter the beautiful lounge/diner with its high ceilings, original fireplace and incredible sea views, all of which create a feeling of sophistication and grandeur. The dining area in front of the window is the perfect spot for afternoon tea or a board game and the kitchen is well-equipped. The three bedrooms (one four-poster king-size, one double and one twin) are as immaculately presented as the rest of the house with a few contemporary touches. There is an en-suite shower room for the double room as well as a large family bathroom with underfloor heating.

 

Outside, there is a wonderful, enclosed, private garden to the front with seating from which to enjoy the views across the water. There is also a shared garden to the rear with bike storage, which can be accessed from the kitchen. There is ample off-road parking.

 

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is plenty of wonderful scenery to explore by foot, by bike or by boat. You have the choice of coastal, forest or countryside routes for all abilities. There are also other sports on offer such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing and climbing.

If you want to explore the mainland to the south of the Rosneath peninsula, you can catch the Kilcreggan Ferry between Kilcreggan and Gourock. Gourock boasts one of three open-air pools in Scotland as it was once a popular seaside resort for Glaswegians. The town boasts a number of shops, eateries and landmarks such as Granny Kempock's Stone thought to bring good luck.

There are a number of lochs near to the property, including Gare Loch, Loch Goil and Loch Lomond (23 miles) which is part of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. For Munro-baggers, it will be worth the 25-mile journey to bag Beinn Ime.

Lovely holiday in a beautiful property overlooking the water. Very well equipped & comfy beds, plenty of seating. Enjoyed eating breakfast with the amazing view. We enjoyed the recommended dog walks by the owners especially the top road with fantastic views! Local shop literally next door which had fab coffee to go/ bread and local produce. Fantastic location, views and property. Very quiet village with limited amenities. Coffee shop next door was a pleasant bonus. My husband fished just along the road and there were plenty of lovely dog walks in the surrounding areas. Beautiful. Didn't feel like a rental..more like a real home which was really inviting. No shortage of towels, kitchen supplies etc and little extras like the welcome pack , binoculars to make the most of the stunning views , doggie extras. The decor is lovely and the bed in the master bedroom soooo comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at Rockvale this week. The house is excellent, really well equipped with all the everyday things you might need for your stay. Great location and we enjoyed exploring Cove and the surrounding areas by foot and by car. Rockvale is located in a wonderful spot and the website photos don't do it justice! The property is very comfortable and well kept. A lovely house with stunning view of Loch Long. We were very comfortable in this immaculate, well equipped house and slept like logs. We can not recommend this holiday cottage enough. It looks great in the pictures, and yet also exceeds expectations! The views are great, the decor is both charming and comfortable. We loved the walk-in shower, the well-equipped kitchen, views of the lock from both the sitting room & main bedroom. The house was lovely and in a great position looking across the loch so much to watch for , we saw porpoises seals and all the birds and ducks you could wish to see, so peaceful and beautiful setting. You cannot beat waking up in a luxurious bedroom to a view of the loch and mountains! The hosts had left too many goodies to get through, including Bonio biscuits for our dogs.
