In the harbour town of Arbroath, stroll along sandy beaches; visit the ruins of a Tironensian monastery, dating back to 1178, and shop for the Arbroath Smokie, a haddock still cured in a number of local smokehouses. Carnoustie is popular with golf enthusiasts as it is known for its championship golf course. It is also great for water sports – try sailing and windsurfing here.

Also within your surrounding area, are Crombie Country Park, 4 miles away, and Monikie Country Park, approximately 6.5 miles from the cottage. These are both great locations for scenic walks. At Monikie Country Park, you can stroll through beautiful woodland and around two reservoirs.

Set in a peaceful location, the cottage is lovely with a sea view in the distance. There are many places to visit within easy reach (Glamis, Arbroath, Carnoustie, and Montrose to mention a few). Caroline was friendly and welcoming and on hand if needed. There are 3 supermarkets close to Arbroath, but the farm shop down the road is well worth a visiRead moret (The strawberries were delicious!). The log fire was welcome on chilly nights with plenty of wood provided. Overall a relaxing week. Hide

Seaview Steading was perfect for our trip. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, including wood for the indoor fire and fire pit, and charcoal for the BBQ. The hot tub was great for relaxing in after long dog walks, and our 7 month puppy Crypto loved the garden!
