A charming lochside bungalow in a picture-perfect setting where you will often spot dolphins, porpoises, otters and numerous birds from the comfort of an armchair.

Perched on the shores of Loch Ainort in the village of Luib just outside Broadford, this property offers panoramic views of the Red Cuillins. Sleeping six plus two canine companions, gather all the family to this cottage, surrounded by magnificent countryside and coastline. With access via the back door straight into the utility area, after a busy day exploring you can discard muddy boots before pottering in to rest walk-weary limbs on the inviting sofas in front of the warming wood burner.

Tastefully furnished with local art and coastal themes throughout, this single-storey property has simple and elegant interiors where cream walls complement warm wooden floors. Large windows have been strategically positioned to provide far-reaching views to mainland Scotland on a clear day, creating a calming and peaceful atmosphere.

Through the utility area, step into the spacious and bright kitchen to prepare a delicious meal, with the dining area perfect for gathering together at mealtimes. The lounge is the heart of the house, where comfortable sofas beckon you to become lost in the spectacular views as the sun sets over the bay – you may even be lucky enough to spot a dolphin or otter! A welcome retreat at the end of the day, get a peaceful nights sleep in the tastefully furnished and spacious bedrooms and wake refreshed to beautiful waterside views and a walk along the pebbled shoreline.

Outside, there is an enclosed garden with furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining, where you are sure to catch spectacular sunrises and sunsets throughout the year. Parking for three cars is available outside the cottage. As the cottage is directly on the loch with heather-clad hills behind, strike out from the cottage on foot to enjoy beautiful walks and breathtaking landscapes in all directions.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Visit Talisker Distillery (17 miles) and take a trip to the Isle of Raasay gin distillery. All 12 Munros on Skye are in the Cuillin mountain range and provide spectacular views into the isolated landscape – but they’re not for the faint-hearted! Take a range of seafari boat trips with SeaSkye (17 miles) to spot wonderful wildlife along with the stunning sights of Neist Point, the Magnificent Maidens and the Small Isles. Visit Dunvegan Castle and Gardens (33 miles) the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland in a beautiful loch-side setting – admire the many fine oil paintings; delight in the beauty of its formal garden, or take a boat trip to Loch Dunvegan. Lovely house and a great holiday. House was very well kitted out with everything you could need and in a great spot. We saw porpoises across the loch and herons, oystercatchers and otters close to the house from the picture windows. Would definitely come again.
