Sat on the shore of the Moray Firth, this quirky former coastguard station promises a truly memorable escape for couples and families alike. Renovated to a very high standard throughout, this characterful property boasts a chic contemporary kitchen overlooking the sea, delightful Victorian bathroom complete with roll-top bath and large enclosed lawn garden. When you’re not busy dolphin-spotting from the lounge, take a stroll into South Kessock for a bite to eat or catch the bus into Inverness to soak up some local history.

Inside, this impressive property has been lovingly renovated to create the perfect blend of old and new as exposed beams, wooden flooring and quarry tiles blend with chic units, contemporary appliances, and an open-plan layout.

Cook and dine with a view in the stunning kitchen area, which boasts granite worktops, metro tiles and stylish pendant lighting. Enjoy light meals and drinks at the breakfast bar or take a seat at the table beside the vast picture windows. Afterwards, hunker down in the inviting lounge area beyond, which is furnished with a cosy rug, oak shelving, and a Smart TV. This former observation tower is located on the Moray Firth at Inverness. Perfect for anyone wishing to leave the car at home, Inverness (2 miles) is easily reached by public transport. Once there, you will find a historic castle, cathedral, Victorian market, shopping centre and fantastic selection of eateries to choose from. Closer to home, you will find a fish and chip shop and cafe within 0.5 miles.

No visit to the Highlands is complete without a day trip to hunt for Nessie at the infamous Loch Ness, (15 miles), where you will also find an exhibition centre, scenic waterfalls and lochside castle. Take to the open roads with chauffeur-driven Highland Trike Tours in Inverness, or step back in time with a visit to Culloden Battlefield (8 miles), which marks the site of the historic 1746 battle between the Duke of Cumberland and Prince Charles. Other local attractions include dolphin spotting excursions from Inverness harbour (2 miles) and Merkinch Local Nature Reserve, which is on this property’s doorstep.

Tangle Tower is an amazing cottage full of charm, very comfy and relaxing, we enjoyed every minute of our stay, whether in the kitchen/lounge or downstairs bedroom or up in the the viewing room it's really cosy with amazing views.

Tangle Tower is a delightful cottage. Warm, comfortable, well equipped and with excellent views. Excellent location for Inverness City and the highlands. The views over the firth are amazing. Some might be put off by the local area - dont be. Wed definitely go back.
