Beautiful countryside walks begin on your doorstep in this lovely rural location which pass through some of the country's most spectacular scenery. Just 9 miles to the north is the buzzing city of Inverness, where you can stroll beside the River Ness, sampling some of the city’s fantastic pubs and restaurants along the way.

Don't miss the Ness Islands in the centre of Inverness; these scenic, tree-filled islands are linked by bridges and are home to walking paths, wildlife and even a mini train ride. For history lovers, a ramble around the grounds of Inverness Castle or a visit to St Andrew's Cathedral will make for an interesting day out.

Holding more water than all the lakes in England and Wales combined, the infamous Loch Ness is 12.5 miles to the west. Try your hand at kayaking on the loch's tranquil waters or take a leisurely boat cruise keeping an eye out for you-know-who! You don't even have to travel to the coast for a day at the beach.

The village of Dores on the banks of Loch Ness is home to Loch Ness Beach, where you can spend a day on the water and then enjoy a BBQ on the shore, looking up at the evening stars from this idyllic location.

A well presented property with fantastic views. It may be in a rural location but just 10 minutes away from Inverness. Very easy to access the Highlands if you want to use as a base. The owner was always on hand should you need any help with anything. I cant fault this property. We will hopefully be back.
