Sitting just 2 miles from the centre of Inverness, this apartment is the perfect base for exploring the Highland capital. Learn all about Highland culture at the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery (2 miles), take a relaxing stroll in the Inverness Botanical Gardens (3.5 miles), or check out the craft beers, organic wines and whiskies on offer at the Black Isle Brewery (2.5 miles).

Grab your walking shoes and enjoy some peace and tranquillity on the River Ness (1.5 miles). The enchanting Ness Islands are connected by a series of charming Victorian suspension bridges. Take a seat on one of the carved bench sculptures and watch the world go by, or spend your time hunting down the fallen tree Nessie sculpture – it’s perfect for a fun photo opportunity.

Further afield, take a historic stroll at Clava Cairns (7 miles) – a well-preserved Bronze Age cemetery complex that dates back 4,000 years. Or pay a visit to Culloden Battlefield, one of the most prominent locations of the Jacobite Rising of 1745. Afterwards, pop into the gift shop and treat yourself to a bottle of Culloden whisky to take home.

And don’t miss the chance to take a magical stroll at the Fairy Glen in Rosemarkie (18 miles). Take a walk along its beautiful woodland paths past the waterfalls and you’ll eventually stumble upon the ‘Money Tree’, which features hundreds of old coins that have been hammered into its bark as offerings for the local fairies.

This is a really lovely apartment in a great location. Suited our needs perfectly. Well positioned on the ring-road around Inverness, so good for getting to places easily. We managed to explore the Black Isle, the coast (Nairn, Findhorn, Burghead) and also visited Culloden Battlefield, Fort George and a trip into the Cairngorms for the beautiful LoRead morech an Eileen and a hill trip with the Reindeer! It's definitely worth staying here to get around this fantastic area. Hide

The apartment was ideal for the two of us plus our dog. Instructions on how to find the apartment was clear, precise and easy to follow. The welcome pack of fruit, tea, coffee, milk and a few treats for the dog was a lovely touch plus a hand written welcome note from the owner. There was file with useful information from places to visit to the nearRead moreest shops, chemist etc. We had a wonderful holiday in a lovely apartment. Hide
