Stylish lodge perfect for a romantic getaway with stunning countryside views and private decked area with seating and gas BBQ for al fresco dining and within walking distance to great amenities.

Retreat to this enticing, one-bedroom abode, set in enchanting countryside, close to Biggar in the Scottish Borders. Immerse yourselves in the incredible country views from the stylish, light-filled cabin, which sleeps two guests and could be perfect for a couple seeking a romantic getaway away from their busy lives. Gaze out towards picturesque Tinto Hill from the sun deck; take long walks through the scenic Southern Uplands and enjoy your proximity to bustling Biggar, with its shops, restaurants and places of interest.

Open the door on to this inviting holiday home, with its under-floor heating and chic, modern interior, to find bright, open-plan living in a studio-style lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom. Unpack the fresh produce you have sourced at farmers’ markets and in local shops in the kitchen area and make yourself a fresh cup of tea to enjoy with the Dundee cake you have bought at a Scottish bakery.

Settle on the soft seating to discuss the adventures of your day; plan your next day of fun together or simply soak up the magnificent views through the great expanses of glass. Open the French doors when the weather is warm enough to bring in a cool breeze. Find a television programme to enjoy on the Smart TV.

Cook up a tasty meal with your locally sourced ingredients and then enjoy a romantic dinner either inside or out at this cabin. Ponder at the table for a while afterwards, simply enjoying the beautiful backdrop of your surroundings. Have a relaxing shower before turning in for the night and enjoying a wonderful sleep in the double bed.

Have coffee, tea or even breakfast out in the fresh air on fine summer days. Fire up the BBQ out here too. There is parking at the holiday home.

Follow a 4-mile walk from Biggar out to Tinto Hill and back. From here, when the weather is fine, you can see right over to the Lake District, the mountains of Mourne in Northern Ireland and Ailsa Craig and Arran in the Firth of Clyde. If the day is particularly clear, there are also sometimes views as far north as Lochnagar in the Cairngorms.

Travel approximately 11 miles to see the enchanting Dawyck Botanic Garden, with its colourful seasonal displays of snowdrops, bluebells, rhododendrons, azaleas and blue poppies.

Explore the town of Biggar, with its famous Victorian puppet theatre and its museums. Visit the Biggar and Upper Clydesdale Museum, which looks at 14,000 years of the area’s history. Spend time at the Biggar Gasworks Museum, the only preserved gas works in Scotland.

Plan a day out in Edinburgh, 29 miles away. Go shopping on Princes Street, dine out in one of the many restaurants here and see the historic sights, including the castle. Stroll through Holyrood Park and climb Arthur’s Seat.

A lovely lodge in a very quiet and scenic area. Great for a "get away from it all" break. Very peaceful and immaculately clean with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
