Cosy romantic retreat located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty adjacent to the stunning Loch Long surrounded by magnificent mountains and within walking distance of local amenities.

Enjoying stunning views, this cosy bolthole apartment is perfect for a romantic retreat, sleeping two in a king-size bed. Couples and their four-pawed pal will love relaxing and unwinding amongst the breathtaking surroundings after a busy day exploring sparkling lochs, rugged mountains, woodland trails and quaint, west coast towns and villages.

Step inside this hideaway to find a stylish and contemporary interior. Wooden floors and cream walls create a neutral palette which is enhanced by the large wall-to-wall windows creating a sense of space and light in the open-plan living space. Bold splashes of colour throughout add character to this cleverly compact retreat.

Take a breath and marvel at the glorious views before stepping from the decked balcony into the charming open-plan, living space. The comfortable, reclining sofa is ideal for resting walk-weary legs and for soaking up the rays, and opening the door to the balcony lets the fresh air drift in. Prepare a romantic meal for two in the kitchen before dining at the table and, as the evening arrives, snuggle down to enjoy a movie night, a glass of wine in hand and your pup at your feet. Wake refreshed in the king-size bedroom, serene in a palette of cream punctuated with touches of red, to the sunlight pouring in through the large windows, before you have your morning coffee on the balcony admiring the fantastic mountain views.

Indulge in a spot of al fresco dining, an occasion to be enjoyed at any time of the day, and for nights off cooking, potter into the village and try the friendly pubs. The enclosed, decked balcony is perfect for lazy evenings of stargazing across the majestic Arrochar Alps, perhaps with a wee dram, good local ale or a nice glass of wine. There is off-road parking for two cars.

We felt that we were quite isolated as regards services and towns to visit. Stunning scenery , well equipped kitchen but felt the settee was too small for comfort. Would not return due to location which did not suit our needs but the accommodation for 2 people was good.

Really lovely cottage in a lovely quiet location but close enough to local amenities to be able to walk. Very friendly accommodating owner keen to help. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully return.

Compact, clean apartment which the owners have thoughtfully taken care to provide with all comforts that might be required. The welcome basket of chocolates, shortbread, wine, etc was also a kind gesture. As mentioned in other reviews, the busy A83 at the bottom of the drive is regrettable (although you mostly get used to it) and the noise of guestRead mores walking in the above apartment was also sometimes a little annoying. I slept wearing silicone earplugs. But all said, I did enjoy my stay very much. Hide

Lovely little cottage, full of charm and with a great view of Loch Long and the hills beyond. In an excellent location for exploring Loch Lomond, the "Arrochar Alps" and further afield. Although small, the cottage was well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. Expect some traffic noise, however, as the main A road runs straight past theRead more end of the drive. Hide

Albeit this was for two people it was a small accommodation. Ok if you do not plan to spend time there other than to sleep. TV only through Wi-Fi which was inconsistent. Kitchen was no bigger than a telephone box. Based on other places I have booked and stayed at, I expected more for the money paid.

The accommodation is OK for a couple but not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The driveway is very steep so a car is a necessity.

Nice little property as a base if you plan on going out and about. On a busy A-road so a little noisy to sit out. Local amenities are very limited. If you have a dog(s) then worth bearing in mind that the garden isnt enclosed, just the small veranda in front of the property. Friendly point of contact and the welcome pack was a lovely touch
