Enjoying an elevated spot with a wonderful view over the Firth of Clyde, this charming lodge is one of a trio of light, stylish and welcoming bothies which offer attractive, fresh and tranquil accommodation. Making a peaceful, idyllic and romantic getaway for a couple, this fabulous bothy is set on a 370-acre working cattle and sheep farm, offering stunning sea views which you can admire from the soothing comfort of a relaxing private hot tub. The internationally renowned golf courses of Turnberry are within 3 miles, making this is a great retreat for keen golfers, or you can head inland to the glorious Galloway Forest Park. Set in a beautiful spot on the Ayrshire coast, this property is an ideal base for a tranquil retreat.

Entering the bothy through double doors via the large decked area, you will find yourself in the light and cheerful open-plan living area. You can snuggle up on the cosy sofa at the end of an exhilarating day out, and spend the evening with a favourite show on the TV, or sit back with a good book. Towards the rear of the room is the stylishly-designed kitchen area which features a range of useful equipment so you can cook up a storm at mealtimes. The room also has a charming dining area. You will also find a light, comfortable and cosy double bed as well as handy shower room complete with shower and WC.

Heading outside, the decked area offers far-reaching views over the Firth of Clyde and towards Ailsa Craig, the Isle of Arran, the Mull of Kintyre and Northern Ireland. You can enjoy a BBQ or luxuriate in the hot tub. Ample off-road parking is available next to the lodge.

This cosy, relaxing and idyllic holiday bothy is just outside the picturesque village of Turnberry (3 miles), which is famous throughout the world for its three links golf courses and popular golf academy. There are also a number of great places to eat and drink in Turnberry, including restaurants, tea rooms and specialist whisky shops. Exploring the Turnberry area further, you can discover a number of attractions and landmarks including Turnberry Lighthouse, which dates back to 1873, the remains of Turnberry Castle and Souter Johnnie’s Cottage. Heading along the coast to the north you will come to the famous Royal Troon Golf Club (24 miles). Travelling south, the thriving burgh of Girvan (5 miles) has a wide range of fine restaurants, independent shops and welcoming cafes. The town is also home to the McKechnie Institute and Stumpy Tower – a museum based on the site of a former prison. From the harbour in Girvan, a boat can take you out for a trip to the granite islet of Ailsa Crag, which is the home of 40,000 gannets. You can also catch a ferry to the lovely Isle of Arran. Exploring the spectacular Ayrshire coast, there are numerous historic castles and ruins, including Dundonald, Dean, Blairquhan, Kelburn, Dalquharran and Portencross – the nearest being the 18th-century cliff-top Culzean Castle and Country Park (7 miles). The Ayrshire coastline has miles of beautiful walks, or you could head inland to discover some wonderful country tracks and woodland trails through Galloway Forest Park (20 miles).

Absolutely amazing!! We could not recommend highly enough, we are already planning our next visit. The arrival was seamless, parking was immediately outside the accommodation and the location was fantastic. Our only regret was we wanted to spend more time here.

Staying at Pirleyhill Pods was truly wonderful. The location is simply breathtaking. Just home from 3 nights at pirleyhill pods. What an experience. Stuart and Kyle are great hosts and the pods are 10/10. Well equipped, comfortable, spacious. They even have central heating. The hot tub is great with the roof over it, stops most of the rain and keeps you nice and warm. The location is a selling point. The sunset looks great and the Read morefield next to the pods has highland cows which provided amusement during the day. I cant wait to book my next stay here. Its a must try !! Hide

Absolutely fabulous lodge, people and area. Would highly recommend people visit. Scotland itself is stunning. The owners where welcoming, helpful if we needed anything. The hot tub and view added a special touch to our honeymoon and would be more than happy to revisit for the 1st anniversary.

For a privately owned lodge, the owners were very organised and helpful. Inside is clear instructions on how to work the BBQ and Hot Tub, along with menus from local food places that deliver. Lovely outlook from our pod, in a very peaceful location. The pod itself was very comfortable and cosy with most things that you would need for a short stay - we were there for a week. It is a bit remote and you probably need to drive/take a taxi if you are going out to eat. We opted for the latter and there was no problem getting a taxi. Ideal location if all you want is a peaceful quiet break away with nothing but the sheep and highland cattle for neighbours. Also a good central location for exploring Ayrshire with many interesting places to see. Excellent place to stay. If your looking for a lodge with a hut tub and nice views. Then this definitely has to be one of the best. Very modern, location is perfect, Beach is a 30minute walk. Shops nearby, its everything your looking for.

Everything you need for a self catering holiday was provided. Even extra things like robes and slippers. You can tell the owners had put a lot of thought into the facilities as everything you think you might need was provided. A lovely cottage, with a wonderful outlook over the sea. The hot-tub was a really nice addition, and it had the benefit of being somehow remote, yet near enough to a shop! It was the perfect balance for us, and we'd recommend it. The hosts were lovely, and we would go again!
