Wonderful family and group friendly property nestled just a stone’s throw away from the beach, including a spacious garden with multiple seating areas, fantastic hot tub and large cinema screen.

Perfectly positioned on the splendid Victoria Parade just a short stroll from the beach with spectacular views over West Bay on the Firth of Clyde. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy kayaking, sailing, wild swimming and diving or catch a sea-safari boat trip. The area is also a paradise for walking, hiking and biking with Kilbride and Argyll Forests, Puck’s and Bishop’s Glens, Ardkinglas and the Gruffalo Trail to explore. Or catch the ferry from Colintraive to the mystical Isle of Bute. Dunoon itself boasts excellent shopping, eateries and leisure facilities. Explore the promenade and visit the Victorian pier, play a round of golf at Cowal and Innellan Golf Clubs or visit the stunning Benmore Botanic Gardens and the fascinating Castle House Museum.

Step inside this wonderful and spacious period property into the vestibule, the perfect place to store your outdoor clothing, and head through to the open-plan living area. To your left is the comfortable lounge area with Smart TV where you can relax and admire the wonderful sea views after a day out exploring the beautiful local area. On your right is the spacious dining space with stunning coastal views and a large dining table to accommodate all guests for family or group gatherings, with a fantastic large cinema screen to watch a great movie together. There is also a bar that can be opened and stocked with your favourite beverages with a bar tender available, pre booking essential, booked directly with owner where additional charges will apply. Next is the well-equipped kitchen, a perfect place to test your culinary skills with an electric range oven with gas hob, two fridges, two freezers and microwave. Completing the ground floor is the handy utility room with two washing machines and two tumble dryers. Heading up the stairs to the first floor you will find six lovely bedrooms: four double bedrooms with magnificent sea views with TVs and en-suite shower rooms with WCs; one double bedroom with rear garden views with TV and en-suite shower room with WC; and one twin with rear garden views and en-suite shower room with WC. Heading up the stairs to the second floor you are met with another five pretty bedrooms: three double bedrooms with spectacular coastal views with TVs and en-suite shower rooms with WCs; one bunk bedroom comprising of two single beds with splendid sea views and en-suite shower room with WC; and one double bedroom with rear garden views with TV and en-suite shower room with WC. Finally completing the spacious accommodation is the stylish bathroom with shower over the bath and WC.

Venture outside to the spacious garden with multiple comfortable seating areas to enjoy al fresco dining whilst admiring the magnificent coastal views or lazy evening stargazing, perhaps with a nice glass of wine, good local ale or a wee dram. There is also a fantastic private hot tub located on the large decking area to relax and unwind in. At the bottom of the garden there is a spacious lawn with direct access onto the beach. Private off-road parking is available for six cars directly outside of the property, and there is a car park within 1 mile with an electric car charging point.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Surprise and delight your party with a wide range of activities available from your doorstep, taking to the water to try kayaking, wild swimming and sailing, or hop onboard a sea safari and cruise along West Bay. A walker’s paradise, you’ll discover ancient forests and ethereal gems such as the mysterious Pucks Glenn and the southern tip of the dramatic Argyll Forest, both easily reached within 6.5 miles. Cycling and hill-climbing are popular in this atmospheric region that’s known for its dramatic lochs, mythical glens and vast stretches of moorland. Holy Loch is the nearest starting point, so pack up a picnic filled with locally sourced scran and a dram of whisky ready to explore.

Dont expect quality. But its a great big house and facilities are great. We were on motorbikes 16 of use and had a great holiday. Great location

We had such a lovely time at Victoria House. We were really lucky with the weather, the views from the house were amazing and Josh was very helpful with advice on where to visit and things we could do. He also let us use his kayak and paddle board and we had loads of fun in the garden. The house is fun, quirky and easily accommodates a large group Read morewithout feeling crammed in. Fantastic week at Victoria House. Location is superb, we had a week of glorious weather, sitting on the decking, kids kayaking and paddleboarding. The house is full of character, very comfortable, we all slept well. A great place to get together with all the family.

The property is in a great location and the owner was accommodating and helpful. Its great for large parties with and excellent social indoor and outdoor space. This is an old property so there are some quirks to it- we throughly enjoyed our stay here.
