This charming farmhouse annexe is perfect as a romantic retreat for two. Situated close to the pretty town of Forres and within easy reach of the beautiful Findhorn Bay on the Moray Firth coast, it is perfectly located for enjoying both coast and countryside.

Inside, this 19th-century property is cosy yet spacious, with simple, neutral décor, charming sloping ceilings and original features that together create a relaxing ambience.

Downstairs, there is a pleasant lounge/dining room with a warming wood burner and a dining table by the window – a lovely spot for breakfast and a coffee, or for a romantic meal for two. After a day out, enjoy cosying up together on the comfy sofa in front of the fire and settle down to watch a film on TV. The adjacent kitchen is small but well-designed, with smart, stylish wooden units and all the amenities you could need.

Heading upstairs there is a large bedroom with a super king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into a twin if required), with lovely views of the garden outside. The contemporary en-suite shower room is perfect for a refreshing start to your day.

Outside, there is shared access to a large, lawned garden, edged by mature trees. Enjoy a drink outside on the patio and soak up the peace and quiet. Next to the property, there is a parking space for one car.

Just 2.5 miles away is a local farm shop at Welhill, but further supplies can be obtained in the nearby town of Forres (3 miles), where there are a number of shops and restaurants to explore, as well as a ruined castle with attractive gardens.

The property is set close to the beautiful Culbin Forest, home to a huge array of wildlife, and which has numerous marked trails for walking or cycling. Enjoy exploring the many pools, woods, sandy dunes and coastline that form this beautiful area. Stunning Findhorn Bay, a natural lagoon, offers beautiful beaches, water sports and wildlife to spot.

The magnificent Brodie Castle (3 miles) offers a fascinating glimpse into the life of the eminent Brodie family. Admire the various artworks or enjoy a picnic and a leisurely stroll around the attractive grounds.

The accomadation is in a very nice house annexe in a very quiet location.It is in a farming area that is arable land harvest was in progress whilst we were there .Forres is a lovely colourful town there area is good for walkers bike riders runners & hikers.The town is about 10mins away and there are supermarkets and lovely shops .The coast is aboutRead more 20 mins drive beautiful little villages around&kalsomine whisky distilleries to go to and also a cooperage which is interesting.
