A relaxing countryside getaway awaits at this stunning property positioned in the beautiful Perthshire countryside, perfect for families and friends alike.

Situated within a 1,000-acre estate in the heart of the glorious Perthshire countryside, this spacious home is the ideal venue for special occasions or breaks with friends and family. The five-bedroom property welcomes ten guests and is the perfect base from which to explore the stunning Scottish landscape. Lovers of the great outdoors will be in their element with many walks, hikes and activities on offer. With the benefit of a cottage immediately next door as well that sleeps four, up to 14 people can be accommodated here along with two dogs – please enquire if you’d like to book both properties together.

The building dates from the 18th century and while more modern comforts have been added in recent years, it cleverly retains its old-world charm and character. It is both spacious and light, with many of the rooms enjoying beautiful views of the gardens and surrounding landscape. Decorated in warm, neutral tones, it has a warm and inviting feel.

The large kitchen/diner really is at the heart of this home and provides a wonderful space for guests to gather to share a meal, play games or simply sit and chat. A traditional AGA complements the more modern appliances, making this a well-equipped room for aspiring chefs to put their skills to good use. Your guests will waste no time in curling up on the cosy sofas in the elegant sitting room, as you all unwind while the open fire crackles away. For those wanting to spread out a little, the separate snug room with sofa bed is a welcome addition.

A warm and relaxing atmosphere has been created in the bedrooms, which offer a welcoming place to rest your heads after a busy day of exploring. The double bedroom on the first floor has its own en-suite with a roll-top bath, while there’s also a further double bedroom and twin room on this level, along with the main family bathroom. There is also a second floor to this house, where you’ll discover a further two bedrooms which enjoy those exceptional views.

If you’re part of a larger group, why not book The Old Laundry too? It’s a delightful cottage next door which sleeps up to four people. With bright and fresh decor throughout, it features a cosy sitting room with a wood burner, as well as two single chair beds. Rustle up a snack in the kitchen/diner, before retiring to the charming bedroom where a restful night’s sleep awaits.

Heading outside, the enclosed garden is a fantastic space to allow the children and dogs to roam freely and to play on the swing and in the playhouse. Sit back and soak up the pure tranquillity that surrounds the cottage or, if the weather is fine, enjoy a little al fresco dining as the sun sets.  An electric car charging point is also available for use.

We stayed in The Whitehouse for two weeks with 10 persons (5 adults and 5 children). The size was perfect and it was exactly like on the photos, maybe even better. I can highly recommend The Whitehouse for big family gatherings/holidays if you are searching for a quite and beautiful place. I would love to come again in a year or two. The children dRead moreid not want the time to end. They all said they want to come again. And we certainly will! Hide
