Lovely setting, great accommodation, we knew about the open area outside so we were pre prepared regarding our 2 dogs. Our 8 mth old Golden Retriever and old Black Lab lady didn't give us any problems. Had lovely meals at the Drift Inn and the Pierhead Tavern and the Glen Isle, didn't make it to the Bay Hotel. Need to go for longer next time.

Overall we had an excellent time at Woodside, helped by some very good weather while the rest of the UK was being drowned!. It is in a delightful position and the view over the bay to Holy Island is in our opinion unbeatable. The house was clean and tidy and in good condition. The pool table is a great added bonus. There were only 2 of us, so we caRead moren't comment on how the property works for larger groups, but it was fine for us. We have two negative comments - the towels are not of great quality which let the rest of the house down a bit, and the dishwasher didn't work and the housekeeper was unable to help us ot get it going over the phone. Fabulous location with a great view out over the Holy Isle. We were on Arran for the Ultra Run and this offered perfect accommodation across a long w/e. We were particularly pleased that the owner agreed to us having less than a week's stay given that it was the weekend before Easter and also the speedy return of our deposit - thank you. The accommRead moreodation is fully equipped and if you need to, Lamlash is only a few minutes walk away. Whilst we were there for a specific event, this accommodation is an ideal base from which to tour the island. Hide
