Holiday homes & accommodation in Inverness

Inverness is a city on Scotland’s north-east coast, where the River Ness meets the Moray Firth. The capital of the Highlands, it is home to a huge variety of visitor attractions which cal all be enjoyed when staying in our Inverness holiday cottages. The atmospheric grounds of the 19th-century Inverness Castle can be explored, while at the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery you can learn more about the people of the Highlands and their ancient, natural and artistic history.

Plenty of entertainment is on offer from the city's Eden Court Theatre with its two theatre spaces and two-screen cinema, or for a quieter but no less impressive show, try Inverness Botanic Gardens. The Tropical House and Cactus House take you far beyond the Highlands of Scotland with a wide variety of plants on display, while you can buy something more domestic to take home as a souvenir of your visit. Inverness also has a great selection of restaurants and bars as well as shops ranging from the distinctively Scottish to favourite high-street brands.

While there is plenty to do in the city, a self-catering holiday cottage in Inverness also allows you to explore the wider Highlands and our Highland cottages are there if you want to explore further afield. We have plenty of Inverness holiday accommodation to pick from. The picturesque village of Beauly lies to the west of Inverness while in the north-east you’ll find the traditional seaside towns of Nairn and Ardesier. Nairn, famed for its sandy beach, was known in Victorian times as "The Brighton of the North" and remains a popular holiday destination to this day. Other nearby highlights include Culloden Battlefield, site of the final, fateful clash of the Jacobite Risings and St Andrews Cathedral.

And of course, no stay in one of our Inverness holiday lets would be complete without visiting the 23-mile-long Loch Ness and attempting to spot the fabled Loch Ness Monster for yourself. Should Nessie fail to put in an appearance, you can at least visit the Loch Ness Centre and Exhibition to learn more about what you missed! Explore all of this and more whilst staying in our Inverness holiday cottages. Ranging from trendy holiday apartments in Inverness city centre overlooking the river to large holiday homes on the outskirts there will be something to suit everyone in our collection - they make amazing places to stay in Scotland. Check out our dog-friendly cottages in Inverness if you plan to take your fluffy friend with you too.
