Fantastic venue has every thing you need for a great getaway
    Mr Devine - December 2018
A fantastic, well equipped house with wonderful views. We have just returned from a weeks stay in this lovely place. The house is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Quiet location by the water which afforded us many paddling adventures in our canoes launched from the grounds. Friendly neighbours, abundant wildlife and hill and water adventures made this a wonderful family holiday. We hope to return next year.
    Mr Neall - October 2018
Nice, comfortable and spacious cottage in a secluded area.
    Mr Venselaar - May 2018
We had a lovely time staying at Am Fasgadh, we have stayed in many holiday homes over the years and this has been the best equipped place we have stayed in, beds comfy, nice and warm, nice places to go for walks shops not to far away. The games room was good maybe add some heating into it and clear out the clutter and the only other problem was the condensation in the living room the windows were very wet other than that all the family loved the place. Would go back again.
    Mr Divine - December 2017
What a joy to stay in a holiday property, which fulfils everything it says in the brochure. A perfect, Warm and Welcoming home to come back to after a day out on the gorgeous Gairloch beaches. The heating works and is easily adjusted, the hot water is piping and plentiful and the sofas are comfortable to cosy up on. Staying in January, with I may say, a glorious week of weather, it was a joy to return to in the late afternoon and watch the darkness fall over the loch, then close the curtains and relax. My dogs enjoyed the lane and waterside to explore, with only one of them plunging in after a duck, luckily I had brought many towels. The kitchen could not be better equipped, the beds comfortable and the lounge's view made it an extremely enjoyable week. I have already booked to return and would sing my praises louder, but I feel I should almost keep it my little secret! Even in January, Gairloch had excellent cafes, try the Mountain one if you like moggies or books and restaurants, The Steading Bistro, being my favourite, providing lovely food and friendly service. All in all, it was a perfect week.
    Mrs Minto - January 2017
This holiday home has everything you need to make your holiday very comfortable and the views from the house are breathtaking. Just a very short stroll down to the lochside where you can fish or launch a canoe/kayak or the kids can throw pebbles into the water. This is a perfect base for touring and boat trips are available from Gairloch and also there is a lovely golf course. Saw some spectacular sunsets and never had a drop of rain all week. There is also swimming available in Poolewe
Owners Response: "Thank you so much for your lovely comment. We are delighted that you all had a lovely holiday."
    Mr Keir - October 2016
Am Fasgadh is a proper little tardis, I was amazed at how much room we had and with all 10 of us and two dogs there was plenty of space for all. The bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable and 3 of the 4 have an impressive view over the Loch. The bathrooms are well equipped and modern with powerful showers. Where the lounge is concerned we could not have wanted better with plenty of comfortable seating, a wide variety of games (necessary for those frequent wet days on the west coast), a TV and DVD player and fantastic views of the Loch. The highlight for Mrs D was the kitchen where she was able to make use of the modern well equipped facilities to indulge in her passion and route fantastic eals from local produce. Despite the rain which is an accepted fact of life we spent many hours on beaches with the dogs and kids and in particular Red Point which is about a 20 minute drive along the coast road through Badachro. The whole week was packed with excitement and new experiences for all.
Owners Response: "We were so happy to read your review, Mr Dennington, and we do hope that you come again."
    Mr Dennington - July 2016
We loved Am Fashgadh as a warm home: lots of books, puzzles/games and pictures on the walls. a stonishing view at the bay, and an easy entrance to the small waterside. bathrooms are modern and new, rooms are spacious, the garage a heaven for our 3 kids (16, 13, 13). We were surprised by the well-visited harbour-inn Badachro Inn, a short drive away. The kitchen of the house is very well equiped, even with provisions, but could use an update (some like the vintage :)). The direct environment of Wester Ross is outstanding, the seaside as well as the hills for walking. Am Fasgadh was a very fine encounter with Scotland, we can recommend it!
Owners Response: "The comment about the kitchen being vintage was very fair at the time, but we have now installed a brand new kitchen, which we are very excited about."
    Mrs Walinga - July 2014
The house was perfect for us. There was plenty of space for our 4 cars!! Games room was an excellent extra for fun and competition. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Access to the beach gave us a great launching area for kayaks. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars would be that the kitchen was a little small . In addition the house is very sheltered so midges were bad at night, in particular, which ment keeping the doors and windows shut. We were there during a very hot week and the house became almost unbearably hot. A small fan would improve things when conditions are like this. Having said that we still had a great holiday and would be more than happy to book the house again.
Owners Response: "Good news! We have now installed midge screens in every room of the house! This means that when the weather is warm, you can open the windows without having the company of midges!"
    Mrs Sewell - July 2014
The cottage is excellent in every respect. Easy to find, even for those who can't read maps and depend on a satnav. The area is wonderful, especially for walking and climbing. The nearby (too far to walk) Badachro Inn is good too.
    Mr Danford - May 2014
The house is deceptively large, with a generous living area, well equipped kitchen, recently refurbished bedrooms and bathrooms and an excellent garage fitted out as a games area. Its a great place for family holidays, with plenty to do near by, and a comfortable warm place to return to after a chilli walk at the beach or up a near by hill. You can launch boats from the nearby beach and there is plenty to see in the sheltered loch. Only thing we missed was a travel cot and high chair, but managed to get by without. Its all on one level, so suitable for people with limited mobility too.
    Mr Wilkins - April 2012
Here is what I wrote to the owner - We had a fantastic time, despite weather. The house was perfect - we couldn't believe our luck, esp as we had left it so late. You should emphasise in your info that it is great for 90y olds and infants as it is all on the ground. James was in a top bunk for the first time and shared with his 18m old sister, Emma, whose cot fitted perfectly in the children's room. And Uncle David who brought his immaculately clean and well-behaved dog were happy in the bottom bunk. Granny had the middle room and she could easily walk our dog (her only chore!) as the access to the woods was easy for her. I can't think anyone will very often want to bake a cake but James had his 7th birthday and we had meant to bring one. Your auntie was very kind. We played cricket on the beach at Gruinard, searched rock pools, went on a fishing boat and caught 3 mackeral and a pollock on James's birthday, went on the shellfish boat, to the climbing wall on a particularly wet day, fished in Badachro Loch - one got away - and walked up to the aircraft wreck and to the Flowerdale waterfall which was spectacular in full spate. Also Beinn Eighe walks and a walk along the start of the Kinlochbervie to Poolewe track. We completed the crossword jigsaw and can confirm all pieces there! (Not all of us did everything!). So a great success. Yes, your house is clearly well-loved and very hospitable. All the best
