As you round the corner and see Aultmore House, it takes your breath away. A truly spectacular Edwardian House set amongst wonderful gardens, Aultmore is beautifully situated in the Cairngorms National Park. The views from the front of the house are mesmerising and ever changing throughout the seasons.

Inside, this is a house with generous proportions, big windows and beautiful views. There is a spacious event room – ideal for small weddings, ceilidhs or conferences, whilst the sitting room and sun room are the perfect spot to enjoy the mountain views whilst listening to the fountain on the lawn. If you are musical, there is even a baby grand piano in the music room. Throughout the house are original features such as fireplaces and burnished parquet flooring giving Aultmore great character.

A formal dining room is the ideal space for long meals and there are two fully equipped kitchens, pantries and a utility/drying room to provide all the working space you might need. If you would prefer a catered stay that can be arranged with the estate.

A magnificent staircase brings you to the first floor bedrooms. The seven main bedrooms are extremely spacious and comfortable with all en-suite or attached bathrooms and some truly glorious views to the Cairngorms. There are 5 further bedrooms in the nursery wing, all very comfortable with one shared shower room and a sink in each room.

Alongside the pleasure of this beautiful National Park, you have endless local activities from hiking and biking, skiing, fishing, field sports and, of course, the famous whisky distilleries along the Spey. Inverness is only 30 minutes away and the Moray beaches under an hour. The gardens here at Aultmore are very special – wide lawns for croquet or wedding marquees, beautiful herbaceous borders and a walled garden – this is a genuine country house which is a delight in all seasons.

For larger parties 3 estate cottages may be available, increasing the occupancy to 38 (14 in the cottages and 24 in the house) making this an ideal wedding venue.

    Aultmore House reviews
Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Aultmore House. Sara was particularly helpful in getting us all set up, and the house is breathtaking - beautiful grounds and a wonderful view. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Aultmore House is the most magnificent elegant country house, with amazing decor and facilities, set in wondrous grounds and in a stunning location. A real joy to spend a week in such sumptuous surroundings for family celebration of 24 people.

Stunning House in immaculate condition with a view to die for.

As a group of 18 adults (9 couples), we had a fabulous weekend stay @ Aultmore House in July to celebrate 3 big '60th' birthdays. A lot of preparation took place before the weekend as we decided to do our own catering. The house did not disappoint, it is so well equipped and we all enjoyed sitting down together in the very grand dining room which had been set up for us in advance by a very thoughtful housekeeper. We loved sitting outside for pre-dinner cocktails and admiring the stunning views of the Cairngorms. The house is so relaxing and yet there is so much activities around for all. Some of our group had a very enjoyable game of golf @ Boat of Garten Golf Club and would definitely recommend this course. Others tried the trout fishing @ Rothiemurchus and we subsequently barbequed the catch! We all did various walks, around Loch Morlich and also beside the Funicular. Some of our party took a trip on the Strathspey Steam Railway, while others went to see the Ospreys. Initially we had been looking to hire somewhere for a couple of nights but the minimum for Aultmore was 3 nights. Turns out we enjoyed our stay sooo much we would have loved to stay for at least a 4th night - we certainly had brought enough food!

Perfect spot, lovely views, great walking, everything about the stay was fantastic, and the estate managers were super helpful and friendly too. 10/10.
