Set in rural Speyside on a working farm, Ballinluig Croft is the perfect retreat for those looking for a modern cottage with a little hint of luxury. Although set beside a road, the large garden is one of the best features of this cottage, as it contains beautifully hand-crafted furniture with a bubbling hot tub which is truly the icing on this cake.

Inside, the cottage has been extensively refurbished to provide guests with bright and spacious accommodation. The open plan kitchen/dining/living space is the hub of the house, and has been designed to be a social environment for everyone to enjoy. The gable end of this room looks out on to the surrounding countryside, with the garden slope extending far enough out so that you cannot see the road from inside the property. Off to the side of this room, there is a snug area with a woodburning stove. The beauty of this room is that there are folding partition doors which allow you to open up the space if you would like to make the main living area even larger, or if you would prefer to keep it as a separate breakout space for the younger family members then you have the flexibility to do so. Each of the bedrooms has been tastefully furnished and two have sofa beds, meaning you can sleep a maximum of 11 people in this property. The bedroom downstairs is accessibility friendly and has access to a wet room.

Ballinluig Croft is the perfect base from which to explore the Highlands, Cairngorms and Moray. The Highland capital of Inverness is less than one hour away by car, and Aviemore with its year round outdoor pursuits is nearby too. For adventure seekers, skiing, kayaking and tree trail climbing are just some of the activities you can enjoy. Take a drive on the malt whisky trail too, where the route passes near the cottage. However you decide to spend your holiday, you are sure to enjoy spending your time in the Croft which is the perfect base for your break.

Ground floor: Open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room, snug. Accessibility friendly double bedroom with pull-out single sofa bed. Accessibility friendly shower room with WC & WHB. King size bedroom with ensuite shower over bath, WC & WHB. Utility room.

First floor: King size bedroom with pull-out double sofa bed. Twin bedroom. Shower room with WC & WHB.

    Ballinluig Croft reviews
Ballinluig was more than we could have wished for. Every little detail has been thought about. We wanted for nothing. Despite poor weather during our stay we were warm and cosy. We found somewhere different to eat out every evening all within a half an hour drive, in particular The Clock house at Tomintoul and Muckrach Country House Hotel in Dulnain Bridge all very good value for money. Ballinluig provides peace and amazing views with wildlife on the doorstep, there was a friendly Hare in the garden with Pheasants and Quails too. We would definitely like to return and wouldn’t hesitate recommending this beautiful Croft for a relaxing Scottish holiday.

Our family enjoyed this vacation tremendously. The house is beautiful, the view out of it is beautiful, and the location offers easy access to hikes and scenic drives. We recommend it highly.
    Mr Carter - April 2019
The cottage was amazing so peaceful and tranquil ! It was till on a working farm which made it more special as the owner allowed the kids to see the baby lambs. Close enough to all amenities and aviemore. Would certainly stay here again and have recommended to friends.
    Mrs Kenneth - April 2019
Had an absolutely fantastic stay here . The location although isolated was easy to find and made for a good base to explore from . Inside it was so spacious and well thought out . Every room finished to a very high standard and a fully equipped kitchen too . We made good use of the wood burning stove during our stay and it really was a joy to sit in front of it in the evening with a glass of scotch! Another highlight for us was the wonderful hot tub which we enjoyed looking up at the starry sky above while sat in warm bubbly water . We highly recommend a stay here if you enjoy comfort and luxury as an essential part of your break especially at such reasonable cost . We found getting out and about so easy also as there never seemed to be much traffic around at any time . We enjoyed our visit to the Glenfarclas distillery, even our 12 yr old said it was interesting! Big thanks to the owners for making everything just right for our stay.
    Mr Kelly - February 2019
Excellent facilities. Very homely and the views were just stunning. Could not fault one thing. We had the best family holiday we could of wished for.
Mr And Mrs Riach - February 2019
Our group loved staying at Ballinluig Croft! The house is stunning and well situated only a few miles from town. Definitely visit The Wee Puffin if you have the chance. I would not hesitate to book this property again.
    Mrs Watt - November 2018
Excellent location and done to a very high standard with everything you would need and more, good value for money also, local shops, restaurants and activities are excellent plus the owner was very helpful. Could have been a bit cleaner when we arrived but no problem considering we where the first people to stay there I believe.
