    Balnain Farmhouse reviews
We stayed here at the end of May and it was lovely. The house could sleep a lot of people (maybe 12?), but we were only a group of four. The kitchen was functional and reasonably well-appointed with pans, knives, plates, etc (certainly enough to serve 12), and it is connected to a large dining room - great for entertaining! There was also a nice big living room with a fire place. I believe it had 3 baths - one on the ground floor and then two upstairs. One of the bathrooms only had a bathtub, but the other had showers. Bathrooms were not brand new but they functional. The view out of the front of the house is beautiful - a great sight to wake up to every day. The front yard is also quite nice and spacious, great for kids who want to play. There is a nice picnic table out there, too. The estate grounds are nice - we walked down to the river one day and enjoyed it. Lots to see.The location was convenient for sightseeing - we spent a day driving around Loch Ness, a day driving around Loch Maree, and then a long day driving over to Isle of Skye. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to a friend.

Beautiful modernised farmhouse in idyllic rural location but close enough to restaurants/services in Contin, Dingwall and beyond. Red Poppy Restaurant, Strathpeffer and Victorian Restaurant, Dingwall, also Indian Restaurant, Dingwall are all very good. Just one thing - remember to bring your own towels (I'm sure this was in the booking information but perhaps it needs flagging up in the final e-mail).
