Blairbeg Cottage is an ideal retreat for that romantic break, away from the stresses and strains of modern life and this one time coach house has been sympathetically converted to provide comfortable self catering holiday accommodation in Perthshire which is full of character and charm. The living room has a fully equipped kitchen and a seating area centred round a wonderful wood burning stove. French doors to the front garden let the light stream in on the dining area whilst further French doors to the rear provide handy access to the fully enclosed garden and the views. Wooden floors and double height beamed ceiling are complimented by the bright and airy décor and stylish furniture, whilst the flag stone floor of the hall and bathroom gives a real sense of a bygone era. The bedroom with its low beamed ceiling, warm wooden flooring and rich soft furnishings, provides a sumptuous retreat at the end of the day.

Ground floor:

Entrance hall, living room with kitchen, dining and seating area with wood burning stove, double bedroom with kingsize bed, bathroom with shower over bath, WC and WHB.

A perfect cottage for two - with magnificent scenery. The Estate Manager was really helpful. He cooked a large meal for us and some of our relatives who visited one evening. And an ideal location for getting to Glenshee ski slopes

Cottage is fantastic lovely walks with our dog from the door the welcome was good and friendly. Will be returning next year deposit for housekeeping back in a few days. Draw backs few but the garden is not enclosed at parts which meant our dog could not be let out in the sun They could easily make a fence at front that would fix that problem and no freezer for food or ice which in this day you would expect apart from the two little bit great cottage
Mr Mac Dougall - April 2015
The bedroom was very comfortable - it didn't say there was a kingsize bed so that was a nice surprise - having no hanging space in it wasn't so good (the hall had a stone floor which was cold to cross to the cupboard). The living area was excellent - we liked the space and height - although we'd never want our tv on the wall above the fireplace at home, in that room it might work better as the sofa is at 90' to it and watching wasn't comfortable. The pottery up the road with a cafe was useful as there was poor mobile reception (unless you are with vodafone apparently) and no router in the cottage so one couldn't use the internet to find out about attractions (advance tickets often discounted) or local services (we needed work on the car's brakes). Seeing red deer on the hillside by the A83 on the way back from Ballater was a highlight of the week.
    Mrs Holmes-thompson - August 2014
We spent a very relaxing 10 days at Blairbeg. The cottage is in a fairly remote location on the edge of the Cairngorms which means lots of walking opportunities are close by. We could see deer from the windows which was lovely and were able to make use of the garden, summerhouse and BBQ facilities due to the nice weather. The cottage is generally well equipt and the planned refurbishment of the kitchen will make it excellent. There was a plentiful supply of logs for the fire which was appreciated. The only improvement we would suggest would be to install a landline, even if its just for emergency calls, as the location of the cottage could feel quite isolated with no mobile/internet reception. This aside, we would wholeheartedly recommend the cottage as a warm, cosy place to stay for couples and their dogs for a very chilled out holiday!
    Miss Budd - June 2014
Great stay, very nice accommodation, clean and fresh, first class would give it more than 5 stars if we could!
    Mrs Smith - May 2014
This was our second visit to Blairbeg. While it is still a excellent, well furnished retreat we felt it was looking a little tired around the edges and could do with a bit of a 'face lift'. There is not much missing but a shaver point in the bathroom would not go amiss. All in all an enjoyable week and the managers, Ben & Vicky, were most welcoming. The beach at St Cyrus, near Montrose, is worth a visit.
    Mr Grimditch - May 2014
lovely house with everything i needed for a good stay. dog friendly but there were lambs in so had to keep my 2 a bit closer than usual but that was to be expected. lovely walks and mixed weather. pam could not have been more helpful. enjoyed the absolute peace and quiet in a beautiful setting and the house was so cosy.
    Mrs Ramsay - April 2014
The cottage was just wonderful. It is located in a beautiful quiet area with almost no neighbours and perfectly situated for discovering the Cairngorms National Park. Pam was wonderful. She prepared everything in this beautiful decorated cottage, even cared for wood for cosy evenings in front of the fire. We would appreciate to come back again to discover more of this beautiful Scottish area. We relaxed totally in these few days and are looking forward to do it again!!
    Mr Wagenblatt - September 2013
The cottage was lovely, the photos really do not do it justice! In a great peaceful location if you just want to get away and unwind. Lots of lovely walking and only a short drive from the Glenshee skiing centre. Pam was really helpful and made us feel very welcome, will defiantly be recommending Blairbeg to friends and family :)
    Miss Holmes - March 2013
A wonderful retreat. Superb welcome by Pam Cameron who had put on heating and lights and set the woodburning stove ready to be lit. Extremely warm and comfortable and cosy cottage with a stunning view of Mount Blair. Great attention to detail in the furninishings and equipment. Couldn't have been better and we would certainly return. We really appreciated that we could book this for a short stay which was the only time we had.
    Mrs Ness - September 2012
We had a lovely stay at Blairbeg. It was perfect for myself, my husband and our 4 month old daughter. The cottage is very spacious inside and very well equipped. It was lovely and warm, especially with the log burner. Pam was really welcoming (we were greeted with a bag of home-grown tomatoes!). The area was great, good access to places like Pitlochry, Blairgowrie (which has a big Tesco's for supplies), Braemar, Ballater and fantastic scenery driving up Glenshee. There seemed to be many walks in the area which we couldn't take full advantage of with a baby but for a couple keen on walking this cottage would be ideal and a cosy, homely base after a days walk. Would happily recommend this cottage.
    Mrs Miller - September 2012
We stayed at Blairbeg during of a 2 week break. It was a last minute decision, we'd been in a cottage in the Kyles of Bute the week before and we are glad we made it. There is a great ambience about the property, from the flag stone floors, to the victorian style bath, wood burning stove, quality towels and linen and the lovely touch of the cosy robes! It's a great location for striking out to destinations all over Scotland. In the 4 days we were there we visited Queens View, Killiecrankie, Braemar, Lunan Bay and Glen Clova. Finally, we loved the views from the dual aspect windows in the living/dining area - down the Glen in one direction and over to Mount Blair in the other. We watched red squirrels chasing each other round a tree and roe deer grazing. So to sum up - just magical!
    Miss Lachlan - September 2012
Really enjoyed our stay was a lovely cosy cottage which was a great hideaway for our honeymoon. It was very well kitted out and the wood burning stove kept us toasty despite it being February. Loads of walking nearby and from the doorstep so we enjoyed a fantastic week. Only drawbacks stopping a 5 star rating were no internet connection/mobile signal and no shower but these didn't detract too much from our enjoyment of Blairbeg.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The cottage was perfect for winter, snug and warm with quality towels, bedding, kitchen equipment and even robes. If you are going skiing or snowboarding in Glenshee it is perfectly positioned, being about a 20 minutes drive away. The only troule we had was with the water on the first couple of days but Pam soon had it sorted for us. We had a lovely time here and did not want to go home! Would definitely recommend.
