A four-bedroom traditional cottage, set on the Applecross Estate, perfect for families and friends seeking a tranquil base from which to explore the Scottish Highlands and coastline.

Located in a beautiful estate on the tranquil Wester Ross peninsula, this comfortable and welcoming property offers traditional and cosy accommodation for eight guests. This beautiful cottage makes an ideal holiday home for a larger family or small group seeking a fantastic holiday base. The holiday lodge is part of Applecross House and can be rented by larger groups in tandem with the neighbouring property, Faoilinn. The estate offers stunning views of the Cuillin Mountains of Skye and the hills of Raasay. Highland cattle can be found grazing in fields around the lodge and wild deer can often be spotted nearby.

Stepping inside this light, spacious and airy lodge you will find tastefully decorated and attractively furnished living areas, and a choice of cosy, comfortable bedrooms. For guests who have also booked the neighbouring cottage, an interconnecting passage joins the two properties.

Decorated in cool, neutral tones, the inviting lounge is an ideal space to relax in at the end of a great day, with plenty of comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a glass-fronted wood burner ideal for winter evenings. The bright and attractive dining room is a perfect space for sharing a special meal. You could also enjoy a snack or breakfast in the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner which features all the equipment you may need, including an oil-fired Rayburn and delightful country dining table. Two charming bedrooms can also be found on the ground floor: a single and a double, each with a delightful en-suite shower room. The ground floor also features a handy utility room and a WC.

Heading up to the first floor, there are two further bedrooms: a king-size bedroom and a triple room with three single beds. Please note these rooms do have quite low, sloping ceilings. There’s also a bathroom and an additional WC.

The lodge is set in the heart of the beautiful Applecross Estate, which extends for 260 square kilometres and features a wealth of beautiful woodlands, spectacular mountains, secluded beaches and stunning lochs. The popular Applecross Walled Garden and Restaurant (0.1 miles) nestles at the edge of Bealach na Ba, and offers a range of great food and drink. You can also head to the famous Applecross Inn (1 mile) which enjoys fabulous views over the Inner Sound of Raasay. Great house, great location. We particularly appreciated the wide range of walks on our doorstep, ranging from short and easy to more demanding 10 milers. We also loved the nearby walled garden and cafe, where we had an excellent review on final night. Bramble Cottage felt like a home from home. Great space for us all and a fab layout. The extra fridge in the utility room was fantastic for keeping the drinks cold! Will be booking again soon. Until next time.

Lovely cottage in an amazing location. It had everything we needed. We rented it alongside Faoilinn which it connects to. It was ideal for our party of 9. There are beautiful walks straight from your front door. The Walled Garden is right next door where you can get coffee and a cake or a great dinner. The Applecross Inn, a short drive or a very plRead moreeasant walk away has really great food. There were highland cows and deer in the field right outside the cottage. We loved it! Hide
