    Cairnie South Tower reviews
The property is very spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. We were very thankful for the wood-burning stove during the very cold weather we had! The scones and jam upon arrival were very much appreciated. Being near Cairnie Fruit Farm is of course one of the great attractions. We also enjoyed visits to Discovery in Dundee and to the beautiful village of Falkland. Entertaining friends on Easter Sunday with a lunch cooked on the aga was also a highlight. Our only small concerns were that the property was very cold on arrival (it took some time to warm up when we put the heating on) and there were no keys, though that was fixed very quickly after reporting it. Some small suggestions: * Would it be possible for guests visiting Cairne Fruit Farm to walk by the big house and take the path alongside the go karts? That would avoid having to walk along the road with children - cars can go quite fast along it. * Would be great to be able to recycle domestic waste. Overall , a very nice week indeed and thanks to the owners for letting us stay in your property.

We had a wonderful stay at Cairnie South Tower! No problems whatsoever. The owner was very friendly and relaxed, the property is beautiful and we had a wonderful family holiday. Hopefully we will be back soon! Thank you!

We love Carnie South Tower the fruit farm and this was our second visit. We did have a couple of issues this time such as the next door neighbour telling us to take our young children on the road rather than using the owners of our accommodations shared drive to get to the fruit farm. In the accommodation there was a strong oil smell coming from the boiler which went through to the bedrooms at least one of the nights and was so bad our washing smelt of it when we returned home. The hover in the accommodation (same as last year) doesn't work and although there were less dog hairs in the living room this year the rugs still weren't great. We probably noticed it more having a toddler. Finally, the BBQ is burnt through at the bottom and is unusable. Other than that it is such a lovely space we really enjoyed our stay. The owners were very helpful giving us recommendations for garages for a car issue we had. We didn't catch them to tell them the above when we left and don't want to complain- it's just things they may want to look into for future guests.

This is a great homely family house. Loads and loads of space for 2 families to be together. The lounge dining kitchen is massive lots of seating areas and two dining room tables. The house is extremely warm having central heating and a wood burning stove. The hot oven in the aga we found difficult to get up to temperature. Lashing of hot water. lovely comfy beds and very very quiet. Free entry to kids adventure play ground and maze a great benefit.

A great place to stay with loads to do in the surrounding area. Very comfortable accommodation and the fruit farm next door kept the kids busy with the maze, trampolines and many other kids activities.

The Carnie South Tower is a very comfortable and roomy accommodation, perfect for a family with younger children. The bedrooms were generous in size and the farm style kitchen and living area was great with comfortable furniture appropriate for active young children. The cooking and bathroom facilities and linen provided were more than adequate for our extended family. The grounds of the South Tower are attractively landscaped and great for outdoor activities. The access to the adjacent berry farm and adventure playground is a major plus for young families, as it provided hours of fun and activity. The location of the South Tower is great for exploring the surrounding villages, castles and coastal areas, but a car is needed as it is a little way from the closest town.
    Mr Mutton - August 2015
The great thing about this property is the feeling of space; it also has character in abundance. We organised this visit to bring four generations of our family together, it had something for everyone and catered to everyone's needs.
    Mr Dowdell - June 2015
we have stayed before and will stay again, close to the town for shops etc., and just out of it for quietness. Lovely accommodation for a family.
    Mr Wild - February 2012
Stayed twice before in summer and thought Christmas to New Year would be a nice time time to stay, it definitely was! Big log fire and Aga a great refuge to come back to after coastal walks..long beach Tentsmuir.(10 miles away) although more logs would have been appreciated. change in 6 years a little TLC would improve accommodation to 5 star,
