Few houses in such a central location on Arran create an impression like Casa Mara.  Just seconds from the shorefront in Brodick, this is a grand and elegant house which has been very recently renovated to an extremely high standard.  Exceptionally appointed and delightfully presented, Casa Mara combines a feeling of open space together with stunning decoration and furnishings to create a wonderfully warm and welcoming house.

A sweeping staircase welcomes guests into the house which offers very comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests across two levels, 4 of the bedrooms with en suite. For those wishing to dine in, the kitchen is extremely well appointed and there is a choice of two separate dining areas. There are also many excellent restaurants and cafes within a very short walk from the house.

Visitors to Casa Mara can look forward to the prospect of a morning stroll on the beach before collecting fresh bread from the nearby island bakery for breakfast and will be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities on offer nearby.  Brodick Golf club is just a short walk away and there is very easy access to many of the low and high level walks as well as the beach and shorefront. Casa Mara is also well equipped with entertainment and has a games room complete with table tennis table.

This is our families second time renting this property on the island and it did not disappoint, the house is maintained to an impeccably high standard and the decor throughout the property is simply stunning. Very close to all local amenities and literally a hop, skip and a jump to the sea! Perfect location, gorgeous house, highly recommend!
    Miss Mcwilliam - July 2019
We had a very good holiday at Casa Mara it was very well situated and close to all amenities in Brodick. The house was very spacious and well equipped. This was ideal for a large get together to celebrate a special birthday and included family from 2 yrs old to 70 yrs old. The only downside was that the Windows, mirrors, glass doors, and furniture could have been cleaner and hadn't been cleaned previously to our arrival or for quite some time due to the dust and marks on them. We had lunch at Little Rock and dined out on a few occasions during the week . A special meal at The Stags Pavillion in Lochranza , and also The Brodick Bar and Brasserie . I would highly recommend them all.
    Mrs Marshall - June 2019
Large spacious, comfortable and clean home. Ideal location for the ferry, the amenities in Brodick and for exploring the Island.
    Mr Gervaise - June 2019
Lovely house in a great location.
    Mr Brindle - May 2019
Excellently well appointed and good location. A real home from home with very comfortable beds. One of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. Would definitely book again.
    Mrs Freeland - March 2019
The house was lovely, very spacious, very clean and well equipped. A great house for children to play hide and seek. I liked the decoration, nice wallpaper. A visit to Arran Aromatics was most enjoyable, the children dipped candles and made scented soaps. We had a lovely meal in the Douglas Hotel. The Crazy Golf is most interesting. A most enjoyable weekend.
    Mrs Graham - February 2019
Centrally located, one street back from front, in Brodick. We were 2 families (4 adults and 4 children)A lovely house finished to a good standard. 6 bedrooms, 4 ensuite. Plenty of space for all of the family. Great size lounge, with space for us all to sit together, but plenty of other areas if we wanted. The games room is an excellent addition and all of the family enjoyed playing table tennis. All the home comforts you would need, with a fully equipped kitchen. Our families had a wonderful stay and enjoyed walks in the local area (plenty of areas to explore). We were lucky enough to see red squirrels on one of our walks. Having visited Arran many times, Brodick is a perfect location to visit all parts of the island.
    Miss Hendry - December 2018
A truly outstanding large house within easy walking distance of Brodick ferry terminal , the Brodick Bar , Douglas Hotel , the two Coop stores , the excellent Wooley's bakery and so much more. I know it shouldn't matter but I think the broadband is fibre optic so the internet speed is very fast ! We didn't have the opportunity to sit in the garden due to the winter weather but on a lovely spring/summers day it would a delight. It's as beautiful as the house. Thoroughly recommended.
    Mr Fisher - December 2018
This house was excellent, for celebrating a special birthday with my sisters and brothers there wife's and husbands. The decor was beautiful, plenty of space. Everything about it is excellent hope to return next year.
    Miss Harvie - September 2018
Casa Mara was a super holiday home, it was in a very convenient position for all the facilities in Brodick. The four en-suite bedrooms were perfect for our group of four couples. Two dining tables, we used one for breakfast and one for dinner. Plenty of settees in the lounge for all of us to sit comfortable. We found most of the things we needed in the kitchen, very well equipped for crockery etc. The Island is stunning , we had beautiful walks everyday. We ate at the Brodick Bar just a short walk from Casa Mara. It was a lovely place, very friendly staff and superb food.
    Mrs Gill - September 2018
We stayed at Casa Mara in Brodick on the Isle of Arran, there were 12 of us altogether including kids and teenagers. The house was excellent, well equipped and in an ideal location. The owners had left lots of tourist information leaflets and other useful flyers from various businesses and attractions on the island. They also very helpfully texted me before our visit with recommendations of restaurants on the island as well as information on key collection and car parking. Unfortunately the weather was awful during our stay but the kids were able to amuse themselves and because of the location of the house could take themselves off to the shops on the main road to spend their holiday money! For the adults (well some at least) the highlights included the distillery and brewery and we had good tours of both. We all enjoyed the Arran Heritage Museum which was deceptively larger than it looked on first look. Other places we enjoyed were Arran Aromatics, The Arran Cheese Shop and the bakery.
    Mr Barlett - August 2018
Perfect house for a large family gathering. Ideally situated for walking anywhere in Brodick. Handy for shops, restaurants, the beach, all places of interest. Well appointed kitchen. Enjoyed having 2 dining tables so all children ate together in the kitchen whilst the adults ate in the dining room. Everyone enjoyed the table tennis and participated in a family tournament. Lovely garden with different areas to sit and enjoy.
    Mrs Blunt - August 2018
The house provided good, spacious and comfortable accommodation for our large group of 12 (8 adults and 4 teenagers); and as we had great weather, we were able to take advantage of sitting out in the lovely garden. The house was well equipped with appliances and pretty much everything we needed. We needed to contact Helen, the owner, about a couple of things and she was always more than helpful. One very small point .. one or two of the bedrooms had clothes storage facilities outside the rooms and it would have been good to have had these in the rooms. Other than that everything was good and if our group was returning to Brodick, we would be quite happy to to back to Casa Mara
    Mr Campbell - July 2018
10 of us stayed while doing Arran Coastal Path - the accommodation was spectacular and we enjoyed relaxing in the garden. Situated just behind promenade - ideal location - plenty of places for evening meals. Very well equipped with plenty of room for everyone. 10/10 - would recommend
    Mrs Mcclymont - June 2018
We had a wonderful week in this beautiful house, the weather was an extra bonus. The house has loads of space beautifully decorated and well stocked with dishes etc. They even provide a small medical kit which you just replace if you unfortunately have to use anything. One small issue was that the hot water was scalding and you had to be very careful particularly with children.
    Mrs Taylor - June 2018
We recently spent 3 nights @ Casa Mara & what a fabulous house it is. There were 12 of us , ages 10 - 84 & everyone raved about it. Excellent for small or large groups, conveniently situated 5 mins from Ferry. House caters for your every need. Large well appointed, tastefully decorated rooms. Ground floor bedroom with wet room was perfect for our two Aunts - they didn’t want to leave their own little palace! Would return in a minute & highly recommend x only one tiny recommendation - with the size of the house a 4/6 slice toaster would be better to avoid delays at breakfast - apart from that - house is perfect!
    Mrs Hammell - May 2018
The host was great at providing detailed arrival and location instructions and responded quickly to any queries. The house was spotless with tasteful decor throughout. Lots of room to relax, unwind and also gather as a family. The location was superb - right in the centre of Brodick but very peaceful all the same. We had a fantastic stay and would certainly recommend Casa Mara to others.
    Mrs Cook - April 2018
Three generations of our family were here for a long weekend. The house is large and well furnished. The house is well maintained with good quality fixtures and fittings.
    Mrs Kyle - March 2018
Great everything we were looking for
    Mrs Mather - February 2018
    Great location and lovely house.
    Mr Pledger - October 2017
My family and I had a wonderful week at Casa Mara. The space and layout were perfect for all our needs. We so much enjoyed sunny evenings in the beautifully landscaped garden. The house has been very tastefully furnished and decorated( great use of wonderful Timorous Beasties wallpaper for example) We had lovely food in the Little Rock Cafe, the Douglas hotel and my special birthday lunch at the Auchrannie hotel. The proximity to the Auchrannie resort was a bonus for us. We all made use of the swimming pool and spa and the children loved the Play Barn. I have no hesitation in recommending Casa Mara and the lovely, friendly Isle of Arran.
    Mrs Flockhart - July 2017
We had the most lovely week on one of the most beautiful holiday houses I have ever seen! Casa Mara has everything you could possibly need and more. Central location, beautifully decorated with an idyllic garden. Absolutely first class
    Mrs Dougan - July 2017
A beautiful house in a superb location. We stayed as a two family group, the kids all loved having their own bedroom and space. Including my 2 year old who made her debut cot escape to sleep in a "big bed"! Very well equipped kitchen, including utility which was great for muddy shoes and wetsuits. Comfortable lounge with great entertainment for the rainy mornings. A super enclosed garden, lovely to sit out in (remember midge spray!) would highly recommend and would love to return. Thanks.
    Mrs Gillian - July 2017
Lovely large house in the centre of Brodick. Everything comfortable and efficient and easy. Hosts very helpful. A lovely stay.
