The recently renovated Chauffeurs Cottage on Drumfork Estate is wonderfully modern yet comfortable. The large kitchen/dining room is brilliantly spacious – great for socialising. The extra seating in the kitchen provides an additional TV area which is ideal for children. The kitchen is well equipped and is kept warm all year round with its eco-friendly underfloor heating system. The sitting room with woodburning stove is equally cosy – put your feet up, relax and enjoy the Freesat TV and WiFi. Each of the bedrooms are simply beautiful with fresh white linen, the ideal place to retreat to after a long day of exploring. With four bathrooms to the three bedrooms, this cottage is ideal for a group of couples to stay in. One bedroom and bathroom is on the ground level, which is ideal for anyone who is less mobile.

Nearby is Glenshee with great winter sports or in the summer enjoy the some excellent golf course close by. Royal Deeside is on your doorstep – lovely to explore and good shopping and history. The river Blackwater runs through the estate and you can fish for free by arrangement for both salmon and trout. The estate surrounds you so there is a real feel of peace and tranquillity and walks that will inspire with the views and fresh air.

This is a delightful house for a great holiday with its beautiful surroundings, peace and yet easy access to many activities. There are two cottages on Drumfork Estate. If you have a larger party then consider taking both Chauffeurs Cottage and next door Rose Cottage. They have the same high quality luxury feel and plenty of public space.

    Chauffeurs Cottage reviews
We had high expectations and it exceeded them. Great get away from it all location and setting. Expect brilliant semi detached cottage with unreliable WiFi and mobile signal - but everything else top drawer! MJL - June 2018
    Mr Langford - June 2018
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The House was well equipped for all our needs and very well kept - it looked brand new. Hot tub was great and staff at the estate looked after it for us which was great. Lovely atmosphere - felt looked after by the estate but not bothered all the time either. One slight down side was the check out time of ‘by 10am’ - 10:30 or 11:00. The check in time of 16:00 was also quite late - if it was nearer 2pm that would be better.
Owners Response: "Response from Cottages & Castles : Thank you for your review. Regarding the arrival and departure time this is to allow a 6 hour turnaround time for the caretaker to prepare the house for the next guests. We do get asked by some guests if this can be changed and once checking and is ok we can change times. Thank you again"
    Mrs Kilgour - May 2018
We had a wonderful stay. Cottage is extremely comfortable and homely. The area is peaceful with lots to see and do. The walks around the estate are amazing our dog loved it. Owner made us feel very welcome on arrival. It is located within a short distance to Blairgowrie, Glenshee and Pitlochry. Would definitely stay again.
