This fine 1920’s house enjoys a wonderful west coast location near the Applecross peninsular. Fantastic views, nearby beaches, mountains and rivers - the house has everything for an amazing family holiday or a holiday with group of friends.

The interior is particularly spacious and bright – generous rooms with picture windows along with wood burning stoves make it a warm and welcoming house. It is also well furnished and very comfortable without being too formal or precious – again just what you want on a holiday. And for the ultimate relaxation after a day out, a sauna to soothe those weary muscles. Gardens surround the house and you can walk the hills without going near a public road.

Couldoran is a wonderful traditional house. The dining room comfortably seats 16 and is the ideal spot for some long and merry evenings. The majority of the bedrooms are spacious, and all are comfortable with character and a number of them benefit from wash hand basins. There are 5 bathrooms as well as a small sauna. The decision has been made not to have a TV signal leaving more time for socialising, but there is a TV screen and some DVDS!  The games room with table tennis, snooker table, books and games; is a wonderful space for all to enjoy.

The famed Bealach na Ba  is nearby and a “must see” with its wonderful views of the  Western Isles. Visit Applecross with its renowned Inn and seafood or take a trip by sea from nearby pretty Sheildaig village. The house is a perfect base to explore Wester Ross by car, or to climb one of the fabulous local mountains. Wildlife abounds in the area from deer to Golden Eagles and if you are lucky - otters on the shore. Most of all though, you will love the landscapes and clean air and the sense of wellbeing in what must be one of Scotland’s most beautiful areas. The house is ideal for artists, walkers, cyclists and families.

    Couldoran House reviews
A mixed group of 17 hillwalking friends stayed here for 4 nights in early March. We have been going away for the last 25 years and this was one of the best venues for a part of this size. Lyndsay the housekeeper was very informative both before and after the trip and a great help overall. The house was surprisingly warm despite its size. Good drying room for wet gear and great to return and relax in the lounge with the open fire after a tough day in the hills. We would certainly have no hesitation about rebooking.
