    Customs House reviews
I have had many holidays at this cottage, without any complaints, a thoroughly relaxing venue. However the provision of a more up to date (smart) television with a larger screen would really enhance the stay, especially in the winter months when the fabulous view is hidden.

Where should I start. A view to warm your heart. Relaxation by the bucket load. All the comforts of home. This cottage is the ideal location to spend a week or longer to unwind. Really easy to find. Set by Loch Fleet nature reserve. Seals feeding on the tides everyday. Many bird species to watch including Osprey. An ideal base to venture further afield. We found this cottage by chance but we intend to return.

We had a lovely stay at Customs House. The house was very comfortable and cosy, clean and well equipped. There was the best welcome pack which was much appreciated. The history of the house and surrounding properties was very interesting. Surrounding walks very nice with Loch Fleet to the front and the sea 10 min walk to the left. Plenty of animal life from birds, deer and seals, all viewable from the conservatory. We will certainly be back.
    Mrs Smith - August 2019
Golspie is my childhood home so I am prejudiced but the whole area is great to explore. We particularly enjoyed watching the dramatic tidal changes and the movement of the wildlife with each tide. I am a returning customer for this property but I got your details as the current letting agents from the property owner.

Wonderful cottage both in the facilities inside and the setting of sea and heath and forest outside
    Mrs Thomas - June 2019
Our second visit to this lovely comfortable house and it will not be the last! Being light until very late we spent most of our time in the sun lounge watching the birds, seals, the tidal race and simply the view. The welcome pack of local fare was so generous. Although the weather was very mixed we covered a good amount of the Area. Recommend the cafe at Berridale Braes and the Pier at Lairg and the Mac and Wild at the Falls of Shin.
    Dr Sinclair - June 2019
We had a wonderful week at the Customs House, a great base for a touring holiday. Such a relaxing and quiet place to stay with views of seals and birds in the loch. Clean, warm and everything thing you need, we will definitely recommend to everyone.
    Mr French - June 2019
What a wonderful cottage!! This was our third time staying in the Customs House and only gets better. The house is immaculate and everything you need is there. Mealtimes were a favourite time of ours as looking out on Loch Fleet there was always a seal popping his head out of the water or birds feeding on the sand banks when the tide went out. Amazing!! The beach is two minutes away and there are walks either along the beach the sand dunes or the forest walks just behind the house. We're back at New Year and we cannot wait.
