This stylish and contemporary apartment is situated on the water's edge of Oban’s shoreline with absolutely outstanding sea views, certain to leave you speechless. Carefully converted from a Scottish Baronial mansion, it has been finished to the highest of standards with state of the art modern conveniences. This property is as attractive as they come and complimented by its romantic and peaceful setting.

It exudes elegance and grace from the moment you enter the property. Yet delicate care has been taken to ensure original period features have been retained like the ornate Victorian fireplace and the grand mantelpiece.

All on one level, the sympathetically designed open-plan living space has rich oak floors and beautiful decorative cornicing, offering uninterrupted sea views through the impressive floor to ceiling windows. With a state-of-the art kitchen this is the perfect social environment to entertain family and friends. From the dining area in the corner turret, you and your guests will be spoilt with panoramic views across the Kerrera Sound and Oban Bay.  There are two impressive and spacious double bedrooms. One was built on the site of a former orangery with floor to ceiling picture windows, inviting you to stay in bed while gazing out to sea through the French doors.

Along with its outstanding waterfront location this property benefits from a small, private terraced garden with seating. This area is perfect to relax with friends, watching the world go by along the Sound and catching up over a glass of wine. There is also a larger communal garden that meets the crystal calm waters of the magical Sound.

Oban is situated on the dramatic far west coast of Scotland, overlooking the Sound and island of Kerrera. Its name is derived from the Gaelic meaning ‘little bay” but we can assure you, there is nothing little about this bay! Surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery you are ever likely to see in Scotland, this area is well worth a visit.

Compact and easy to navigate, the town is filled with galleries, local shops, eateries, pubs, a museum and a local distillery so there is plenty to see and do here. Or take a relaxing stroll along the scenic seafront to its sandy beaches and the ruins of Dunollie Castle. In the evening, the town comes alive and is a host to many festivals and ceilidhs (social gatherings) with traditional musicians, bagpipers and highland dancers providing street music and entertainment.

Also known as the ‘Gateway to the Isles', ferries run from Oban to islands such as Kerrera, Mull, Iona, Staffa and the inner Hebridean islands where there is every possibility you will spot sea life such as seals, porpoises, dolphins, sea eagles and basking sharks. The islands surrounding Oban offer some fantastic walking routes and due their remote location and limited accessibility, remain some of the most unspoilt and untouched landscapes in the UK.

An absolutely amazing place to stay, probably the best holiday let we've yet used. The location is perfect and the accommodation beautiful. Relaxing in front of the fire watching the boats go past, couldn't ask for more.
