Located in Strathspey near Grantown on Spey, Dallachapple is a wonderful farmhouse that is perfect for everyone; for both families looking for a base from which to explore from, and as a peaceful retreat after a day's fishing or shooting. The house is extremely comfortable and cosy throughout, and has been well furnished to provide holidaymakers with everything they need, and has a sweet, country charm about it that everyone will love. The traditional kitchen is spacious and contains a multifuel stove - perfect for chilly evenings and as a bit of extra stove space whilst cooking a delicious meal. The living room is equally cosy, so put your feet up and enjoy watching a film at the end of a busy day. Each of the three bedrooms has been tastefully furnished and decorated to a great standard, and in-keeping with the family friendliness of this property, stairgates are provided to keep the little ones safe.

Dallachapple sits on 3 acres of land, and contains a beautiful garden pond to the front of the property. The large back garden is completely enclosed to give you peace of mind, and has the added bonus of a bespoke play frame for children which will keep them amused whilst the adults enjoy a seat in the sunshine.

The farmhouse is well situated for exploring the Highlands, Cairngorms and Moray, meaning there is plenty to do within driving distance of Dallachapple. The Highland capital of Inverness is less than one hour away, and Aviemore with all of its outdoor pursuits is just half an hour away by car. For adventure seekers, skiing, kayaking, tree trail climbing and various other activities are available nearby. For those looking for something slower paced, there is fishing available on the River Spey as well as numerous golf courses nearby, and also the popular whisky trail. Don't forget to visit the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre on the mountain too, where you can visit the only wild reindeer herd in the entire UK - something for everyone to enjoy!

    A wonderful property which provided a superb break for us all. The amenities were lovely and cosy with plenty of hot water and warmth after long days’ walking. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds and living area very comfortable.

    Tolle Lage für das Erkunden der wunderschönen Umgebung. Das Cottages mit dem Grund erfüllte alle Erwartungen. Wir waren Großeltern, Eltern und zwei Kinder (2 Jahre). Translation: Great location for exploring the beautiful surroundings. The cottages with the reason met all expectations. We were grandparents, parents and two children (2 years).

    We had a great time staying here. The house has everything that you could possibly need and more.... There was nothing overlooked, and even a lovely touch of a bottle of prosecco waiting on our arrival. We went into both Aviemore, and Grantown which are great for finding things to do. Our 10 year old especially loved treezone!! Fabulous staff and activity... But recommend booking first. We also went to the Forrest activity park, but during the winter weather it's mostly closed, but still things to do. New year fireworks on New year's Eve in Grantown, are out of this world... Rivaling those in any Disney park!! Brilliant and very well enjoyed Scottish dancing in the street party!!

    Cottages & Castles Ltd. (acting as agents for property owners) provides a guarantee for tenants who have to cancel their holiday at a cottage.

    If it is necessary to cancel your holiday, for any of the reasons A 1-5 below, you may do so at any time up until the close of business on the last working day before your tenancy commences and we will refund your balance. Your deposit is not refundable. If you have made a late booking and paid in full you will receive your payment minus the normal deposit sum (usually 30%).

    There is no charge for this holiday protection – it is included in the cost of your holiday. Please note that the protection does not apply to holidays in our properties with codes beginning with P (usually castles, mansions and lodges).

    Deposits may be transferred to a different date for a holiday at the same property within 12 months of the original holiday date, subject to availability, but not, however, for a different property. If the new booking is at a higher rate the tenant must pay the extra cost. No refund will be made if the new date is at a lower rate.

    A:
    1. Death, accidental bodily injury, or illness (excluding pre-existing or chronic illness/conditions, or illness arising through epidemics or pandemics)
    a) the Proposer and/or persons with whom he/she has arranged to travel.
    b) any close relative or business associate of the Proposer or of any person with whom he/she has arranged to travel or arranged to meet at the specified holiday establishment. We will require appropriate documentary evidence of illness or bodily injury from a registered medical practitioner. This evidence must state that the Proposer is unfit to travel.

    2. Jury service, witness call or unemployment through redundancy of the Proposer after the date of booking and prior to the commencement date of the holiday.

    3. Fire or theft which is the subject of an insurance claim at the Insured’s main residence or business premises within seven days before commencement of the holiday.

    4. Occupational postings not contemplated at the time the holiday is booked.

    5. Cancellation or curtailment of scheduled transport services due to strikes, riots or civil commotion, but limited to the cost of alternative transport up to £50 per person for the outward journey only.

    But not, however:

    B:
    1. Disinclination to travel.

    2. Failure of public or private transport.

    3. Suicide, attempted suicide, insanity, the influence of intoxicating liquor or the effect of drugs not taken in accordance with treatment prescribed and directed by a qualified medical practitioner or booking a holiday which is or would be against the advice of a registered medical practitioner.

    4. Pregnancy unless problems occur which prevent the person travelling. A  verification must be signed by a registered medical practitioner to this effect

    5. Any loss which is otherwise insured.

    6. Holiday accommodation booked outside Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands
