    Dalmore House reviews
Too many plus points to list and just a couple of negatives: 1) Heating came on a little too late (lunchtime) so cold in mornings and was not turned off at evening time making bed time too hot for comfort 2) Mattresses in both Four posters were a little too firm for our family Other than the above comments it is a really splendid holiday home for the larger families
    Mr Jones - August 2014
We had a truly wonderful holiday in Dalmore house. We enjoyed the space and facilities offered (pool table, television room, scottish CD's sauna and large garden). The romantic dining room and lounge, four poster beds and numerous bathrooms were much appreciated. It felt like a family home, well loved and full of atmosphere. The kitchen was well equipped. We only have a few minor negative points: the chimneys were not in use which was a pity as evenings were quite cool and the piano was out of tune which we regretted too. Alness is a small town which is a stone's throw away and offers convenient food shopping. The drive to the house however is unattractive as the sea view looks onto Invergordon and it's industrial off shore platforms which are very unattractive. One can also get a glimpse of the local school and swimming pol which are, I am afraid to say , an eye sore However further afield we saw some beautiful scenery including Talbot Ness, The Dog falls, the drive to castle Robin,Glenn Affric, Strathpeffer, Dornoch. We went to Highland games and Highland flings. We swam in very cold water off lovely beaches which we had almost entirely to ourselves! We had a truly wonderful holiday. Dalmore house is lovely. .
