This traditional white-washed Highland cottage has the most outstanding views over the River Findhorn and the stunning Morayshire countryside. Beautifully presented, this self catering holiday cottage has a large sitting room with a cosy open fire and windows that stretch the length of the room letting the light flood in and the views enjoyed from the fireside. A large dining table, which seats 10-12, is ideal for family meals and a garden door allows guests easy access to stroll through the delightful garden down to the river and perhaps glimpse a roe deer or even one of the local ospreys fishing. Four charming and comfortable bedrooms with coombed ceilings and pretty soft furnishing, together with two bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen/diner, provide the perfect accommodation for a fantastic holiday.

This picturesque area of Moray is ideally placed for both the beaches and pretty harbour towns of the Moray Firth coastline and the mountains and moors of the Cairngorm National Park, with Aviemore less than 40 minutes away. Guests who enjoy the outdoors will love the many peaceful and safe opportunities to walk, horse ride and bike around the stunning countryside. The opportunities to spot wildlife are boundless with deer, pheasants, red squirrels, birds of prey and hares all to be spotted from the cottage. Guests may enjoy a trip to Cawdor Castle, linked with Shakespeare’s Macbeth, or the National Trust of Scotland’s Brodie Castle or perhaps a trip round one of Speyside’s world famous distilleries. To the north of this lovely holiday cottage, Forres and Nairn are only 15-20 minutes drive away, offering many excellent golf courses and the fantastic Moray Firth beaches. Inverness airport is 30 minutes’ drive from the cottage.

    Daltullich Cottage reviews
    4 adults, 1 dog and 1 teenager had the most wonderful holiday in this glorious cottage. After long days out in the fresh air, Daltullich Cottage was a welcoming beacon on the horizon. It’s spacious layout easily absorbed us, we never felt on top of one another. The layout of bathrooms and bedrooms also gave individual privacy. We particularly enjoyed the very large lounge dining room. We ate as a family around a generous sized dining table and then the room was big enough for some to enjoy reading whilst other completed jigsaws and card games. We didn’t feel the need to go out in the evenings as the cottage was warm and comfortable and a very well equipped kitchen made cooking easy. The view down the Findhorn River across a well maintained garden is stunning. The large windows also made the cottage light and bright. We searched long and hard to find a cottage that had enough space, looked clean and well appointed and that was in easy access to the things we wanted to do. Daltullich Cottage ticked every box and we could soon be in Aviemore, Findhorn, Inverness and Forres. We would certainly return to this lovely quiet spot if heading to the area again. We are recommending it to our friends as well - a wonderful cottage in a stunning location.

    The point of contact was very helpful and had no issues in arriving. The scenary was second to none, myself and kids had a great break and loved the open fire. As a serving member in the RAF, this break offered with no fee is a great initiative for support.

    A truly memorable stay in this lovely, well equipped, quiet and spacious traditional cottage. Heaps of thick clean towels are provided, as well as cotton sheets and electric blankets. The kitchen is well equipped with a range of good quality cooking pots, pans and dishes to meet even the most creative and inventive of family cooks. Small thoughtful touches include fresh flowers on arrival, torches by the bed, and logs and kindling ready for the open fire. The setting is breath-taking – from the sitting room you look down on the black and bubbling Findhorn River set deep in among mature Beech and Larch woods. It’s a dog’s heaven too, with walks straight from the door! Quiet, restful, and tasteful. A relaxed home from home. We will be back!

    This cottage is beautiful, has everything you need including ready chops logs for the log fire and is very comfortable. The location is stunning with the option to take the mown grass riverside footpath - just stunning.

    Holiday Protection Scheme

    Cottages & Castles Ltd. (acting as agents for property owners) provides a guarantee for tenants who have to cancel their holiday at a cottage.

    If it is necessary to cancel your holiday, for any of the reasons A 1-5 below, you may do so at any time up until the close of business on the last working day before your tenancy commences and we will refund your balance. Your deposit is not refundable. If you have made a late booking and paid in full you will receive your payment minus the normal deposit sum (usually 30%).

    There is no charge for this holiday protection – it is included in the cost of your holiday. Please note that the protection does not apply to holidays in our properties with codes beginning with P (usually castles, mansions and lodges).

    Deposits may be transferred to a different date for a holiday at the same property within 12 months of the original holiday date, subject to availability, but not, however, for a different property. If the new booking is at a higher rate the tenant must pay the extra cost. No refund will be made if the new date is at a lower rate.

    A:
    1. Death, accidental bodily injury, or illness (excluding pre-existing or chronic illness/conditions, or illness arising through epidemics or pandemics)
    a) the Proposer and/or persons with whom he/she has arranged to travel.
    b) any close relative or business associate of the Proposer or of any person with whom he/she has arranged to travel or arranged to meet at the specified holiday establishment. We will require appropriate documentary evidence of illness or bodily injury from a registered medical practitioner. This evidence must state that the Proposer is unfit to travel.

    2. Jury service, witness call or unemployment through redundancy of the Proposer after the date of booking and prior to the commencement date of the holiday.

    3. Fire or theft which is the subject of an insurance claim at the Insured’s main residence or business premises within seven days before commencement of the holiday.

    4. Occupational postings not contemplated at the time the holiday is booked.

    5. Cancellation or curtailment of scheduled transport services due to strikes, riots or civil commotion, but limited to the cost of alternative transport up to £50 per person for the outward journey only.

    But not, however:

    B:
    1. Disinclination to travel.

    2. Failure of public or private transport.

    3. Suicide, attempted suicide, insanity, the influence of intoxicating liquor or the effect of drugs not taken in accordance with treatment prescribed and directed by a qualified medical practitioner or booking a holiday which is or would be against the advice of a registered medical practitioner.

    4. Pregnancy unless problems occur which prevent the person travelling. A  verification must be signed by a registered medical practitioner to this effect

    5. Any loss which is otherwise insured.

    6. Holiday accommodation booked outside Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands
