If you are looking to get away from it all on a break in Sutherland, then Diebidale is the place for you. Remotely located ‘off grid’ in the hills around 13 miles from Ardgay, this quirky shooting lodge is probably the most peaceful retreat you could find.

This property is deceivingly spacious throughout, sleeping a total of 11 people in 6 bedrooms. The kitchen/sitting room area is open plan and contains a stone-built open fire, perfect for cosy evenings with a dram in hand. The bedrooms are bright and comfortable, and some contain a bath in the room itself – which is certainly one of the quirks of this holiday home! The master bedroom boasts fantastic views of the surrounding countryside, where there is a high chance of spotting a herd of deer on the hillside. Downstairs, the unusually large utility area is home to a full size snooker table – so this is sure to be a place that the group will congregate in during the evenings. There is no TV or WiFi at the property due to the remote location, so if you are seeking a holiday with guaranteed peace and quiet with nobody to disturb you, then Diebidale is the place for you!

Diebidale is located at Glencalvie, a traditional sporting estate that is extremely popular with returning guests. Also located on the estate is the main lodge, Glencalvie Lodge, which is 3 miles away from Diebidale and can be used as additional accommodation for larger groups. Please note that the property is inaccessible during the winter. As the track to Diebidale is partially offroad, a 4x4 vehicle is required for access.

Ground floor: Kitchen/sitting room. Zip link King/twin with bath. Bathroom with WC & WHB. Bedroom with single camp bed only. Zip link Superking/twin bedroom with bath and handheld shower, with separate ensuite WC & WHB. Utility room with snooker table.
