This is a truly lovely Georgian House which has been extremely comfortably and luxuriously refurbished yet maintains great charm, tradition and character. Dipple House is a family owned house and the personal items and pictures reflect this. It is an ideal house for family groups, fishing parties or celebrations and there is the added attraction of an all-weather tennis court (available April - September) and lovely garden with its own orchard.

The rooms are spacious with a large kitchen with Aga, separate large dining room and 2 lovely public rooms and an abundance of open fires. The master bedroom is a delight with its open plan en-suite bathroom complete with roll top bath. The attic bedroom will thrill children with its very comfortable 4 single beds, own bathroom and flat screen TV; adults could use this but may find the lack of roof space a little restrictive.

The house has a secluded rural location close to the famous River Spey yet is only 15 minutes from Elgin and 10 minutes from the renowned Speyside whisky trails. The Moray beaches are delightful and within easy reach and you have every chance of seeing the dolphins in the Moray Firth. There are many castles, distilleries, walks, pony trekking and, of course, skiing in the area but you may find it hard to leave this lovely house! Dipple House provides the perfect self catering holiday home to explore the delights of Moray and beyond.

    Dipple House reviews
Our family spent Christmas 2018 in Dipple house. Beautifully presented house with a fantastic kitchen! The lovely housekeeper asked us and left the tree undecorated so we could do it ourselves which made it feel like home and we picked holly from the grounds to decorate the table. Lovely rooms, great dining room and we definitely enjoyed the two cosy reception rooms, one with a lovely open fire and plenty of wood. Definitely recommend this property we had a fantastic time! Perfect for all the family!
    Ms Mcmahon - December 2018
We stayed here with friends (three families in total) and had an amazing time. The house is really cosily furnished with big living rooms, a huge dining room and large and well stocked kitchen. There are open fires in both living rooms and a huge aga in the kitchen so it was always nice and warm (and I really enjoyed cooking with the aga). There was plenty of space for us all and lovely gardens for the kids to play in (with two great swings - the grown-ups enjoyed these too!) There were ample bedrooms for 3 couples with 7 children between us - my 3 boys loved the attic room with 4 beds in it (with their own en-suite bathroom). I had the amazing bedroom with rolltop bath in it (looking out of the window). Unfortunately I daren't use it as didn't want to scare the children while they were playing in the garden :) The location is fab too as we only seemed to be 20 mins away from entertainment - from Dolphin watching and swimming at Elgin pool to playing in the walled garden at Gordon's Castle and bowling and soft play. We would definitely stay again (if we were allowed) I didn't want to come home!

Our group of friends and their kids enjoyed a great long weekend at Dipple House. The house is really well equipped (probably the best we've come across in many years) and the tennis court was a big hit with young and old. We also enjoyed the local golf courses and dolphin watching at nearby Spey Bay. Highly recommended.
    Mr Lappin - September 2017
Homely house although stand up showers would be a benefit. No lawn cut close enough for croquet. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the house and the tennis was great fun Will book again for next year.
    Mr Brodie - June 2017
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Dipple House. We were very lucky with the weather which meant we could enjoy the lovely outdoor sitting area and BBQ. The tennis court is in very good condition and the gardens are lovely. The kitchen is beautiful and has everything you could possible need. Very well equipped. If we were being very picky we would have liked to have had champagne glasses. The dining room ,lounge, bedrooms and bathrooms were also of a very high standard. Will certainly consider a return visit next year and have already recommended this property to others. Perfect!!
    Mrs Hall - June 2017
We had a very relaxing and comfortable long weekend at Dipple House. It was a home away from home. We look forward to returning soon.
    Mr Kabay - October 2016
Great time at Dipple House - comfortable and luxurious - really well equipped kitchen
    Ms Fulton - June 2016
House was well designed, comfortably furnished but a little bit tired in some places.
    Mr Inglis - April 2016
Dipple house is grand, pretty and very charming, and very warm and welcoming you feel at home and it's everything I would dream of living in! The house has at traditional cosy feel with a modern twist the kitchen is contemporary country. I stayed with all my family, 10 adults & 4 children the sense of space is amazing and not one of us felt in each other's pockets. The kitchen is big enough to cook For 14 and the aga is a pleasure to use. Everything is provided take nothing but your clothes and toiletries ! The drawing room enormous good for playing charades the whole house hide and seek which we did every night. Reception room if you want a bit of peace. Every single member of the family including children enjoyed and fell in love with Dipple house which is set in lovely grounds and surrounding country side and I and family will certainly be returning!!! The house keeper is very polite, friendly and helpful
    Mrs Catterall - October 2015
We rented Dipple House for the Christmas week. It was absolutely wonderful. Often older houses such as these are a little shabby, but this one was in perfect shape. And it manages to be both posh and homely - quite a feat. It was also really well equipped. We had brought loads of things ourselves but we needn't have bothered - everything is there, right down to the champagne bucket. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, and the linens fresh and new. The housekeeper Stephanie was excellent: she had prepared the house beautifully for Xmas and nothing was any bother for her. We would definitely return to Dipple. It's a find.
    Prof Smith - December 2013
Had a great time at Dipple House, the house was clean, tidy and warm. Unfortunatley the weather wasn't great but if it was there was a tennis court and BBQ.
    Mr Baird - April 2012
Our family had a lovely time at Dipple House. We had relatives coming and going and the kitchen made it easy to feed lots of people again and again. The lounge and TV rooms were warm and cozy. Bedrooms charming. Only annoying bit was having to clear out of house at 9;30 in the morning before I had a second cup of coffee - bit of a rush. Baxters restaurant and shops are just down the end of the road - worth a visit.
    Mrs Nash - February 2012
Fantastic house for a family Christmas. Plenty of space to gather together or find a quiet corner. The kitchen is a cook's dream for preparing Christmas lunch
    Mr Durham - December 2011
After we found the real contact lady for getting the key things went smoothly. You had sent us the wrong information. This house was perfect for our family reunion it had everything we needed. We loved the garden/grounds it was clean and very comfortable could not have wished for better the weather was not so good but Dipple House made up for that as well.
