This delightful purpose-built holiday cottage is situated overlooking Lochan Fearna, surrounded by heather-covered hills and near a plethora of sandy beaches. Miles of coastline are waiting to be explored by foot or bike with plenty of trails within the Assynt area with all levels of difficulty. This cottage is the ideal base for exploring Wester Ross. Peaceful and remote, this lovely cottage is perfect for a family or friends’ retreat to this picturesque part of rural Sutherland, sleeping eight over four bedrooms.

With a perfect mix of homely antique furnishings and modern decor, this lovely accommodation is perfectly equipped for your stay. A focus on comfort and convenience makes this home ideal for families, ensuring a simple and thoroughly enjoyable stay. Large windows let light stream in and provide great views to admire. Careful attention to detail and pops of colour throughout the home help make the spacious room cosy and comfortable.

Welcoming and bright, this cottage is set conveniently on one floor. The sitting room has plenty of comfortable sofas to nestle into after a day outside. Warm your toes by the wood burner with a glass of wine or have a family film night and watch your favourite film together. Traditional fabrics, an oak mantelpiece and beautiful pictures help to create a cosy space to relax. A patio door leads out to the outdoor seating area and makes a splendid backdrop of rolling hills and crystal water. Well-equipped to cater for a large family or group, you can cook up a storm in the kitchen/diner and serve a delicious meal that everyone will enjoy. The antique dark wood table is the perfect setting for casual and more formal meals. Adjacent is a handy utility room. All four bedrooms have been beautifully decorated to make you feel at home, with contemporary colours and simple, stylish decor. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and ample storage, as well as views of the luscious countryside scenery. Two of the bedrooms have spacious en-suite bathrooms, and there is a third modern bathroom.

Step outside onto the gravelled enclosed garden, and enjoy the fresh Scottish air. Dine alfresco at the picnic table and admire the uninterrupted views across the lochan, or watch the sun set over the water. Plenty of wildlife lives at your doorstep, so you are sure to see the local fauna in action. You have easy access to the rolling hills from your doorstep so outdoor adventures are never far away. Private parking is available on the property.

This charming property is ideally situated for exploring this remote part of Sutherland, with the tiny village of Drumbeg nearby (1.5 miles) which nestles on the banks of the magnificent Loch Drumbeg. This is a wonderful area for anglers, with numerous options for river, loch or sea fishing. Nearby lochs include Loch Poll (1 mile), Loch na Loinne (3.5 miles) and Loch Crocach (11 miles). Heading west, there’s the gorgeous beach at Clashnessie (4 miles), or you can visit the village of Culkein (7.5 miles) which is close to the 60-metre-high sea-stack The Old Man of Stoer. Further south, the pretty fishing village of Lochinver (13 miles) is known for its popular fish market and is home to Highland Stoneware, where you can watch the potters at work. Other nearby attractions include the Highland and Rare Breeds Farm in Elphin (27 miles), Ardveck Castle on the coast of Loch Assynt (16 miles), and the Corbetts of Canisp (19.5 miles) and Cui Mor (29 miles).

This property is perfect for those who want to get away from it all. It really is in the middle of nowhere. All we could hear were the deer barking in the hills. Yes, It is on the side of part of the NC500, however this time of year isnt that busy so it wasnt a problem. The property has everything you could need. It is warm, comfortable, clean and Read moreplenty big enough for everyone. The garden is perfect and fully secure which our two springer spaniels, Jackson and Fudge absolutely loved. Hide

Wow, what a view, would love to look at it everyday. The cottage was fantastic and set in such a wonderful location. Very quiet and a secure garden with walks out of the back gate to the surrounding lochs. The weather wasnt kind to us but we still managed to explore the area, lots of beautiful beaches just a few minutes drive away. Fearna is a fabulous holiday cottage with the most amazing views. The cottage was extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Drumbeg stores was handy for essentials, beautiful Clashnessie beach is nearby along with lots of other little bays to explore. It is an excellent base for fishing, kayaking, walking and some lovely hills to climb. Views aRead morelong the drive from Lochinver to Fearna are stunning but the road is not for nervous drivers. Fearna cottage fulfilled all our expectations: it is extremely well equipped; was clean; and spacious. We were a party of 6 adults plus a dog and the cottage was ideal and the grounds secure so the dog could run free. The shop at Drumbeg was well stocked with good quality produce and Lochinver provided a wider choice. Whether you approach from the Read moreLochinver direction or the Kykesku direction, you will have to negotiate several miles of narrow single track roads with blind bends and summits. Hide

A modern, spacious, clean four bedroomed house in a beautiful location on the Drumbeg loop. Plenty parking space, well kitted out, comfortable and peaceful. Lochinver, Drumbeg, walks and stunning beaches within easy reach. Beautiful views and a (fishing) loch on your doorstep. Highly recommended.
