Set in the heart of the Malt Whisky Trail which has 60 distilleries, this welcoming property is perfect for sporting groups and whisky aficionados who want to enjoy all that this region has to offer. The large and spacious house, framed by evergreens, is set in 1.5 acres near Craigellachie village (1 mile) with rolling countryside views to inspire guests to enjoy the great outdoors. Sleeping nine guests comfortably across five bedrooms, it’s the ideal rural retreat where everything you need is to hand, yet it’s also within easy access of local amenities and regional attractions.

Step inside this welcoming retreat with classic country-style interiors and spacious living throughout. Families will appreciate everything being on one level from the large entrance hall to the living room, TV room, open-plan kitchen and dining room, plus the utility room for boot storage and laundry, and three cosy bedrooms.

Rustle up tasty dinners for fellow guests in the well-equipped kitchen with inspiring countryside views as far as the eye can see. Enjoy dinner together in the sunny and spacious dining area. Later, retreat to the living room for post-dinner drinks where you can curl up on squishy sofas by the open fire (first basket of logs provided) and catch up on favourite TV programmes. As night falls, slumber comes easy in the bright and airy bedrooms, beautifully decorated with Scottish tartans. The rooms are charmingly named after local rivers. There are three super king-size bedrooms with adaptable beds (zip-and-link), plus one king-size room (zip-and-link bed), and a single bedroom with room for an additional guest on a pull-out trundle bed. After a day out in the countryside, you’ll also appreciate the two stylish bathrooms (one with a bath, separate shower, and WC; the second with a shower room).

Enjoy the spacious split-level enclosed gardens, perfect for parties with wee bairns or lively hounds in tow. There’s ample space to enjoy the dryer regional climate in this region where you can also dine alfresco in the seated BBQ area. Should a dreich day descend, guests can enjoy table tennis championships and dartboard playoffs in the large garage where you’ll also find outdoor games equipment and storage room for bikes, skis, and fishing gear. Ample parking is available for guests, and there’s a shop, pub, restaurant and amenities in Craigellachie village (1 mile); a supermarket, pub, and cafes in Aberlour (3 miles), and further shops in Rothes (4 miles).

The house was very well equiped and had everything we could have needed. The location was spot on for a weeks chilly fishing and the use of the garage for storing all of our fishing clobber was invaluable. The garden was great for Cosmo (energetic questionally behaved retriever!) who loved exploring. We will definitely be back!
