The dining table extends to comfortably seat 10 people, so this can be changed to suit your party size. The living room is bright and comfortable, with an enormous selection of DVD’s to suit most tastes. The open fire is a fantastic feature of this room, so cosy up at night time with a glass of whatever you fancy, and make sure you put your feet up after a busy day of exploring Moray and the surrounding area. When the kids want to have their own space, there is a second small family room with a TV and Xbox One, meaning the adults can get a bit of peace and quiet! Each of the bedrooms has a stylish use of different coloured tartans, which adds character (along with the individually named rooms, which have been selected from various rivers in the Spey catchment). All of the double beds can be separated and made up as singles if required, offering complete flexibility for every party type.

Outside the garden is completely enclosed, thus making it perfect for those parties with children and/or dogs. The extensive garden offers ample space for those who wish to enjoy Moray’s dry climate and there is a range of outdoor furniture and a large BBQ for those wishing to eat outside. One half of the large garage is given over to guests and contains a table tennis table, a dart board and numerous outdoor games/sports equipment. It also offers ample space for those guests wishing to store fishing rods, bikes etc.

There are lots of nearby attractions on your doorstep - families, fishing/sporting parties and whisky aficionados will all love this property! The River Spey and its various salmon fishing beats, including Easter Elchies, Craigellachie and Arndilly are just a short distance from the house itself. For walkers, The Speyside Way meanders close to the property and runs 107 kilometres from Aviemore to the spectacular Moray coastline. Nearby Ben Rinnes offers a challenge for hill-walkers, while cyclists can enjoy numerous countryside trails in this beautiful part of Moray as well as the Glenlivet Mountain Bike Trail Centre. The Lecht Ski Centre also lies within a short drive and offers skiing and snowboarding during the winter months.

For those who prefer less arduous pursuits, the hinterland offers a wealth of historic castles and buildings as well as a fantastic range of shopping and food related attractions, such as Johnstons of Elgin, Walkers Shortbread and the Baxter’s Visitors Centre.

    Guisachan reviews
The property is located in a beautiful picturesque location... a place that appears straight from a postcard. The house is big enough for two large families. We were a group of 6 people with 2 kids. The bedrooms are quite spacious and there are two large family rooms. The kitchen-dining area is the best part of the house. The kitchen is luxurious and is loaded with equipments and kitchenware. The house is beautifully maintained and has every comfort needed for a great stay. There are a lot of indoor and outdoor games and equipments. We spent all our evenings playing cricket/table tennis and had a great time in the house. We got complementary initial supply of milk, bread, juice, cake and eggs - which was quite a sweet gesture. The market though isn't very far and there are a few nice restaurants/pubs nearby. We loved our morning walks along the river. There are a lot of nice attractions to see nearby - speyside bay, Lossiemouth beach, Glenmore forest park, Loch Morlich, Elgin and a number of single malt distilleries. The house is easy to locate and the detailed instructions with the map were shared with us before the trip. The house owner and the caretaker were very helpful and responded to our questions/doubts in no time. The owner was always available for any help even though he was out of country. We left some stuff behind and the owner even agreed to ship them back. A big thanks for the wonderful hosting - we are happy customers and will definitely come back in winters.

Guisachan provides the perfect holiday accommodation for the young and the young at heart. It is situated in the heart of Speyside with beautiful views over the River Spey and provides easy access to the area’s many attractions. The Macallan Visitor Experience, for example, is a must see and is only a few miles away. Guisachan has been very tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. The spacious living areas and large kitchen/dining room provide ample space for large groups yet allow for more privacy if required. The bedrooms can be used flexibly, a bonus for family groups, and the bathrooms are luxurious. The owners have added some very thoughtful finishing touches including a very well equipped kitchen, TVs and audio equipment in most rooms, books and DVDs, useful information about local attractions and even a starter pack with milk, bread, tea and coffee etc. There is a lovely child friendly garden and ample parking. I would recommend Guisachan highly.
