The outside of this house does not do justice to the wonderful interiors and surroundings. Holeburn House is a big, spacious and bright house, with a wonderful open plan flow to it and marvellous views of what is a delightful large garden. Decks and balconies surround this house and the garden is a pleasure - lawns and flower beds and a burn at the foot. Behind is farmland and the Ochil hills.

This is a family home of great style - wood floors, granite worktops, wonderful new bathrooms - it has a very stylish and fresh feel.  A well travelled owner has furnished the house with unusual and stylish items. The 5 bedrooms are all spacious and luxurious, with a high proportion of excellent bathrooms.

The public space is what makes this special - two sitting rooms, two dining areas and a very stylish kitchen are on the ground floor. In the lower ground is a fantastic bar - the real thing complete with fridges, counter and of course a dart board as well as lovely seating and TV. Outside there is plenty of seating space on the deck and balcony - ideal for a morning coffee or an evening drink or BBQ.

Holeburn House is a great setting off point to explore the history of Stirling and its castle, the Trossachs national park, Edinburgh, St. Andrews, The Kingdom of Fife, or north to Perthshire and its mountains. For golfers, Gleneagles lies a short distance down the Glen and the local Muckart course is less than a mile away. Make sure you got to Dollar and climb the beautiful Dollar Glen to see Castle Campbell - a fascinating spot with glorious views.

    Holeburn House reviews
This house is absolutely beautiful, it has the wow factor. We were greeted by Toni, who was just so lovely & took time to walk us through the house before handing over the keys. As this was my 50th birthday weekend this house was made for socialising, all the public rooms are large, which allowed us to cook, eat & socialise together. The Bar area was just perfect for after dinner drinks & cocktail making! The formal dining room was used every evening which has the most beautiful outlook across the Garden. All the bedrooms & bathrooms are large & spacious and are situated down a corridor which has doors that can be closed, so if you want an early night the rest of the house won't disturb you. I can't recommend this house enough if you are looking for a large house in the country but not far from some beautiful towns this is the place for you!! Dollar is close by, we walked to Dollar using the road behind the house which was a lovely walk, we also visited Crieff & Dunblane. I feel this review doesn't do justice to how amazing this house really is .... we will be visiting again!!

House was unbelievable once we got there and it was a lot better than what it shows in the pictures. Plenty of room, and the bar and surround sound we're good features. Would happily go back! Owners were helpful and there's no complaints about the house whatsoever.

Pretty location in fantastic countryside which was also convenient for cities and towns, like Edinburgh and Stirling- and Falkirk Wheel, which is amazing. Facilities in the property are amazing and the different rooms allowed everyone space to do what they wanted and suited the teens, twenties and the parents well. Great kitchen provides a central focus for everyone. The weather wasn't kind, but with waterproofs you can explore the local hills and country parks which was not something we had anticipated. Service and support from Toni and Daz was brilliant and made sure we had a really wonderful holiday!

My experience can be described in two words, absolutely amazing. I was welcomed very well and was told about all the things I'd have to know. Throughout, I did not face any issues and truly felt like I was home. The location was convienent as it was not very far away from Glascow. As for what I expected, it was definitely more than I did. Thank you.

Nearby Dollar was a very pleasant village which provided good eat out amenities. Surrounding area offered good places to visit eg Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument. Good central location which provided a wide range of places to visit within easy reach. House site was first class but would suggest that a more detailed set of instructions would be helpful in the understanding of all the technical functions within the house eg the interaction between the availability of music, TV both inside and outside the house. Additional shower units would also be beneficial. Disappointed that Darts Board had been removed. However overall everything was first class.

This property is one of the best we have stayed at for the NY break having done this with friends for last 16 years.
