Perched high on the banks of the River Tay, in the heart of Perthshire, this Scandinavian Log Cabin provides the setting for a fabulous hideaway. The welcoming scent of pine as you enter immediately gives a lovely sense of relaxation and the wood burner and tasteful soft furnishings add to the ambience.

This charming lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need and real sense of style in its furnishings, presentation and attention to detail. Outside, it has a lovely decked area complete with hot tub that has what is, perhaps, the best river view in Perthshire. It is a delightful spot to relax after a day out and enjoy the views and a BBQ with your friends and family. The bedrooms are inviting and luxurious with crisp white linens and the master suite has a secluded, covered balcony offering an idyllic outside space, for breakfasting or just relaxing, even if the Scottish weather lets you down.

Perthshire has endless opportunities for the energetic – fishing, golf, walking and extreme water sports are nearby. For the more relaxed there are some great culinary opportunities, attractive towns and villages and even Edinburgh only an hour away.

For larger parties, Horsey Reach House may also be available to accommodate a further 12 guests, bringing the total capacity to 18 guests between the two properties.

    Horsey Reach Lodge reviews
The log cabin provided six of us, four adults, one teenager and a senior, with the perfect week in Scotland. The location of the cabin is ideal, overlooking the River Tay within easy reach of Perth, Edinburgh, Pitlochry and Dunkeld. The area is beautiful with the river easily accessible by walking in either direction from the driveway. The cabin is well furnished and the kitchen has plenty of bakeware and utensils to allow cooking. The bed linen and towels are of excellent quality. The hot tub on the deck overlooking the river was lovely although we could be seen in swimwear and woolly hats when we stayed as the wind was a little chilly. The wood burner made for cosy evenings. Hazel and Jim were very welcoming and helpful. I particularly liked the fact that the logs for the wood burner and all the electricity is included. Some favourite places were The Boating Station cafe at Pitlochry, good lunches and great cakes. We hired mountain bikes from here and kayaks, pedaloes, rowing boats and fishing equipment are also available. Picturesque waterfalls on the 6.5 kilometre Braan walk from the Hermitage at Dunkeld. The taste of Perthshire shop, cafe and highland cows at Bankfoot was a hit with everyone as was the Stewart Tower Ice cream farm. All in all a great time was had by all.

We were a party of five staying for a week in the autumn half term holidays, firstly we were blown away with the property location and its rear views over looking Tay River and Stanley Mills. This quant Scandinavian wooden Lodge reminded me of the chalets in the Alps equipped with wood burner which heated the entire property in no time. Comfortable bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms along with a variety of dvds, books, magazines and games all you need to bring are you clothes and walking boots! Superb Stay :-)

A wonderful lodge with a incredible view of the River Tay. It is breathtaking whether you are in the hot tub, on the decking or looking from the bedroom balcony its a view I would never grow bored of. The lodge has everything you need and more and is in a prefect location. The owners were friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. Couldn't possibly ask for more, we would happily stay there again.
