Juniper Cottage is a delightful cottage within a converted steading in the Highland countryside. Attached to Hawthorn Cottage, the property is fresh and bright and has been furnished to a great standard by the owner. The open planned living/dining area is of ample size and is the perfect social space for when you wind down in the evenings. The kitchen is well equipped and contains all of the modern appliances you will need during your stay. Upstairs, each of the bedrooms are bright and spacious and are perfect for both families and couples who wish to holiday here. Outside, the shared seating area is the ideal place to sit with your morning coffee whilst you listen to the chirping birds and buzzing bees around you. Take a stroll down to the nearby loch, which makes a lovely walk in the sunshine, or take a seat by the water and become engrossed in a good book. This truly is a lovely part of the Highlands, where you are in a rural situation yet close to all of your local amenities.

Invergordon is a Highland town which is popular with tourists, where cruise liners regularly dock down at the port during the summer months. There are lots of distilleries to visit in the town as well as in neighbouring Tain and Alness. Golfers will enjoy playing on the various courses in Tain and Dornoch. Fishing for beginners can be done at the stocked lochs near the cottage, and for the more experienced you can do some trout fishing in various locations nearby. For the more adventurous type, walk up 'Fyrish' and see the well-known monument at the top, which played a part in the history of the Highland Clearances. Whether you are on a relaxing holiday or one full of adventure, Juniper Cottage is the ideal base for your rural holiday.

    Juniper Cottage reviews
The block of cottages are situated in an excellent location, secluded and peaceful and within easy reach of all major routes in the area. The cottages have been tastefully restored and the outside areas are well maintained. Juniper cottage was well furnished, modern and clean, providing all the requirements for a family of four. (My only gripe would be the gaps in the laminate flooring in the kitchen). However having said that I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.

We have just returned from Juniper cottage after spending 4 nights there. The cottage was very clean and very well equipped for a home from home break. On the first night there we had a power failure which was quickly rectified by the owner. Nothing was a problem, we intend to return next year. We would highly recommend Juniper cottage

Lovely clean cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Warm and comfortable set on a farm location. Great for our dog as we were able to keep her downstairs by using the thoughtfully provided child gates on both the top and bottom of the stairs, which would work equally well with wee ones. Large downstairs bathroom with en-suites to both upstairs bedrooms, which were spacious and well appointed.
    Mrs Rowling - September 2017
Lovely few days spent recovering from the journey up and seeing the local area. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about the cottage - although possibly not in a traditional 'highland setting'. Enjoyed a car tour Tain-Lairg- Cromarty bridge for its wonderful, typical Highland views of pines and lochs. Also loved the contrast of the Black Isle - Cromarty being a wonderful little find. A two-week booking would have given us time - and energy! - to explore but, due to commitments, 5 days were our limit. (have also placed a similar review on Trip Advisor.)Cottage itself was spotless and had absolutely everything that we needed and more. Ample space and facilities in it for 6 people without a doubt. Absolutely lovely to meet the owner too and to get to know a little more about the area.
