Description
Kilfinan House is an elegant Scottish country house set amidst stunning grounds with views to Loch Fyne and surrounded by glorious west coast scenery. Originally built in the early 1800s as the Manse for the nearby church, this delightful large holiday home has been lovingly restored by its architect owner and thoughtfully decorated with many luxurious extras including its own hot tub, sauna and games room. Sleeping up to 16,(12 adults and 4 children) Kilfinan House is a wonderful destination for all ages and any occasion, whether it is a family gathering, friends wishing to spend time together or perhaps a special event or celebration.
Kilfinan House is beautifully furnished in a traditional style allowing it to retain its original character and charm, yet cleverly incorporates many modern features. With its own private spa facilities, what could be more fun than enjoying a bubbling soak in the hot tub or a relaxing sauna, perfect for unwinding whatever the weather, even in the rain or snow! There is lots of outdoor space with a large front and rear walled garden both with patio furniture allowing everyone to make the most of the beautiful surroundings. The games and table tennis rooms are guaranteed to keep all ages occupied for hours and the trampoline, swing and climbing frame will delight younger children.
Central heating keeps the house invitingly warm and the stylishly furnished upstairs double-aspect drawing room and spacious open plan kitchen/dining room both enjoy wood burning stoves. Everyone can gather together for relaxed holiday meals around the large dining table and the conservatory opens on to the front terrace and garden. The downstairs master bedroom boasts a wonderful Tudor style four-poster bed and ensuite bathroom. There is a second king size four-poster bedroom and the four further comfortable bedrooms offer flexible accommodation to suit different party needs.
Cowal Peninsula, also known as Argyll’s Secret Coast, is everything you imagine the west coast of Scotland to be - winding rivers, ancient woodland, rugged hills, hidden lochs and breath-taking views all creating a magical feeling of having stepped back in time. There are endless beautiful walks to enjoy right from the doorstep including the short 20 minute walk from the house down to beautiful Kilfinan Bay and beach on the eastern shores of Loch Fyne.
