    Kilfinan House reviews
Our party was very varied in age from 2-90 years old. The house was ideally laid out and well equipped to meet everyone’s needs. And great in the context of unpredictable Scottish weather- plenty to do if it rained! The table tennis and games room were big hits. The garden was great too. There were a couple of things that would benefit from attention: the oven was not reliable which was difficult when catering for a large party and the bed frame in the “Lamont” room needs repaired.

We had a wonderful in the gorgeous kilfinan house. The area was beautiful and the house was very well kitted out for having a good time. Very good value for money and I would definitely stay there again.

We recently stayed for 2 nights at Kilfinan House. There were 6 adults, a toddler and a dog. On arrival we were wowed by the kitchen and living room. The wood burners in these rooms kept us warm and snug. The bedroom layout over three floors gave everyone their privacy and the beds were extremely comfortable . We made good use of the pool table, the sauna and the hot tub. The kitchen was very well equipped and has everything we needed for our Come Dine With Me family competition. The house has several places where you could escape for some peace and quiet. Our toddler especially enjoyed the swing seat and playing in the large garden. There was plenty of parking and it was only a short drive back to Kames for extra supplies. The house is well maintained and manages to be grand and comfy. The owners provided lots of useful info and we enjoyed walks to the beach. Only disappointment was that the hotel opposite was closed during our stay.

A great time in this beautiful house, four generations 8 adults and 4 children all agreed that a week wasn't long enough to enjoy everything the house and area has to offer. The house has been lovingly restored and is well equipped for a large family/group. The spa facilities and games room were well used and children helped make apple crumble with freshly fallen apples from the garden. Long walks on the beach even on a wet day then sitting by the log fire in the evening playing board games .... really felt like a home from home. Port Avadie spa was a great escape for the women in the party, Spa and treatments are excellent. Highly recommend Botanica restaurant in Tighnabruaich all seasonal and locally sourced food. Kilfinan inn at the bottom of the drive was great for an evening meal or afternoon drink and staff very friendly and welcoming.
