Fabulous, couldn’t fault a thing except to say a welcome pack on arrival would have been much appreciated
    Mrs James - April 2019
Overall the cottage was excellent. We struggled as there was no deep freeze so ice for drinks and keeping anything frozen was impossible. Also we were missing 1 Bath sheet that made things difficult with 4 adults.. Some clear instructions about where to park would also have avoided some confusion with the gardener! The surroundings were tremendous and the crockery equipment and glasses all first class, fuel for the burner was abundant and the heating kept everything very warm and cosy.
    Mr Bell - December 2018
A stylish renovation, spacious but cosy atmosphere and a helpful keyholder makes this cottage stand out. We enjoyed exploring the country side around the nearby village of Newtyle with its network of local walking routes, one of which passes close to the cottage. Our teenage son was more impressed by the Wifi, so much faster than previous cottages we have dragged him to. The location is ideal for visiting either the rapidly developing city of Dundee or exploring the glens of the sourthern Cairngorms. Great value for money.
    Mr Dugdale - October 2018
Family of 5, stayed for 3 nights in this cosy and well presented house. Rooms are all of a good size and very clean. The lodge has real character and funky features like the wood stove and electric gates into the property!
    Mr Cassidy - October 2018
Cottage exceeded all expectations. Located off a very quiet road through an automated iron gate. Surrounded by Broccoli and Potato fields all with very well maintained pathways on the doorstep. Old railway walk. With great views to be had all around. Close enough for provisions locally at the Post Office 1 mile walk. Excellent beach found at Lunan Bay sand dunes, with open café. The cottage itself is very spacious and immaculately clean. All high quality décor and fittings. Very well equipped kitchen. We found the locals very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. David and Irmgard.
    Mr Mcintosh - October 2018
The gate lodge was immaculately clean, quiet, and private with its own outdoor space. The kitchen was well equipped and bright. The house had a spacious feel, with a range of public areas; a television room as well as a sitting room and a dining area in the garden room off the kitchen. The seating and beds were all very comfortable, and there were beautiful curtains and fine linens. The lodge was very cosy with its central heating and wood burner making it an attractive winter option. The owner responded very quickly to any queries, resolving any matters. The house is situated on the edge of Strathmore, with spectacular views, even through to the distinctive peak of Schiehallion in the west on a clear day. It is well placed for visiting Perth, Dundee, Glamis Castle, and the Angus Glens. We appreciated exploring a network of footpaths in the immediate area, with the leaflets provided. We hugely enjoyed visiting the Perthshire Open Studios event that coincided with our stay.
