1 double room, 1 twin room, 1 bunk bedroom.

This little gem has long been extremely popular, not least because it has some of the prettiest views in Perthshire. Facing south across Loch Tummel and west towards Schiehallion, it is a truly spectacular location that you will love.

Recent renovations have only improved this house with the introduction of a large open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room and floor to ceiling windows make the very best of the view. There are two outside balconies now too – perfect for an early morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.

The presentation and furnishing of Larach Beag has also improved immensely – wood floors, simple modern furniture and a fabulous kitchen make it a pleasure. The 2 newly fitted shower and bathrooms are beautiful and there is now an extra little TV/snug – also with fantastic views for the kids or as a break out space. A new boot room completes the interior. The infrared central heating is unobtrusive and makes a cosy room for all especially with the wood burner for cool evenings.

This is a beautiful house in a simply beautiful spot. There is the added bonus of the Strathtummel Inn just a few minutes walk away for those days you want to give cooking a miss. It is a perfect point to set off and explore Scotland – from here you can get to know Perthshire or even Edinburgh but most of all you will love this view and the local walks and activities. Make sure you see Blair Castle and the Queens View nearby and the Festival Theatre in Pitlochry is excellent.

    Larach Beag reviews
The cottage is even better in reality than you can see on the pictures. The best features of the house are the view, space and quality of fixtures/fittings. The house is very comfortable and has all the modern facilities you need. Internet speed was good (1.9Mb/s), the new TV is excellent with FreeSat, the kitchen is well equipped, the showers are always warm and have enough power and the house was very clean. We were not aware that the water supply for washing and cooking is from a nearby stream (filtered and treated) but this was no issue. For drinking and cleaning teeth you need to use bottled water but the owner had left a lot of bottled water for drinking and Tescos provide 5l of bottled water for £1! The owner is very good with communication and responded very quickly to any issues raised. It was also very kind that the cleaner changed the bedding over (and not just left clean bedding for us to change) for our second week in the house.
    Mrs Yeo - July 2019
The cottage has everything you may need, with fantastic facilities and beautiful views, which change by the hour. It is ideally located for exploring central Scotland and an Inn right next door. What more could you ask!
    Mr Grosz - May 2019
What a superb peaceful location with a wonderful panoramic view of Loch Tummel and the surrounding mountains. This was a clean, comfortable, well equipped, open plan, modernised bungalow. The welcome package of a few essentials was much appreciated on our arrival. It was a perfect place for relaxing ‘stay at home days’, yet a good base for visiting local attractions and exploring the beautiful Scottish countryside. We enjoyed watching and feeding the birds in the back garden. We would happily go back. Despite the weather (which was a bit variable during our stay) we managed to enjoy sitting out on the balcony on one occasion. We had dinner at The Inn on the Tummel, next door, on one occasion which was enjoyable with good, friendly service.
    Mr Wersching - August 2018
Larach Baeg is a great place to stay. We stayed there as a family of four and our Labrador. The cottage is really well modernised, well equipped and in a stunning location, particularly with the Inn at Loch Tummel a two minute walk away. We all had a great holiday and would highly recommend this property. The owner was very helpful if we had any questions about the property, which made the stay all the better.
    Mrs Atherton - July 2018
Chose it for the view and location and was not disappointed in that. The cottage has everything you need and very well renovated. Downsides were the water pressure as can only run one shower at a time, uncomfortable mattresses and sofa. Also usually holiday cottages at this rate provide a welcome pack. Nothing at all which is poor.
Owners Response: "Thank you for your feedback, we’re sorry to hear about the issue about the water pressure unfortunately due to the recent heatwave the water flow from our system had reduced, in response we have changed all the filters which has fully restored the water pressure. Thanks for the comments on the welcome pack and we will implement for the next season. With regard to the sofa and beds we will look at ways to enhance to ensure the comfort of our quests."
    Mrs Birrell - July 2018
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House very clean and well presented. Good sized garden for the dog and children to run around. Views from house stunning and very peaceful. Would return again.
    Mr Candlish - July 2018
Had a lovely stay at Larach Beag and really enjoyed our time there. Wonderful views of Loch Tummel made staying in the house a joy. Love the balconies too The enclosed garden was great for our dog too.
    Mr Sammut - March 2018
Very good lovely views and pub next door plus Pitlochry and House of Bruar a big plus
    Mr Prichard - September 2017
The owners' recent extensions and improvements maximise ones enjoyment of the view, though comfortable Larach Beag already occupies a prime holiday position, in Tay Forest Park with Schiehallion, The Inn at Loch Tummel (100 yards!) and Pitlochry all within easy reach.
    Mr Mckelvey - August 2017
House relaxing Gorgeous view. Wild life in garden birds, pine martins and shrews. Many local sites to visit.Pub next door good for meals. Staff welcoming.
    Mrs Storey - July 2017
Lovely location, with good views. Well equipped, but decoration a bit dated, but comfortable overall. Problem with the water pressure in the shower, sometimes good sometimes very poor. Would visit again if shower problem sorted. The Inn on the Loch next door, food very good but pricey, don't do children's menu.
    Mr Hardwick - September 2016
This is the third time staying at Larach Beag and I just love it. You can't help being mesmerised by the view it changes through the day. Me and my husband had a more relaxing holiday this time and it's a perfect place to do it. We certainly will be returning
    Mrs Ashton - September 2016
Larach Beag enjoys magnificent views over Loch Tummel and the mountains around it including the magical Schiehallion. Within easy reach are Blair Castle, the House and Falls of Bruar, Loch Rannoch, the Pass of Killiecrankie and the holiday town, Pitlochry, with its restaurants and the renowned Theatre of the Highlands. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and immaculately maintained and if you're weary of cooking, delicious food can be obtained at the charming Inn on Loch Tummel no more than 300 yards from the front door!
    Mr Mckelvey - August 2016
Comfortable and homely, if a little tired but the price reflected that. The view was wonderful and it was well placed for the many attractions and places to visit
    Mrs Robinson - July 2016
A very comfortable cottage , with views that are second to none - perfect
    Mr Day - May 2016
Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Our second visit and undoubtedly not our last. Abundant wildlife in the garden. And weather was perfect despite it being first week in October! Tea rooms at Bridge of Balgie and Rannoch station were excellent, and scenery lovely.
    Mrs Jacobs - September 2015
Beautiful location stunning scenery and very comfortable cottage . Lots to do in Pitlochry, we visited to theatre which I would thoroughly recommend and had a lovely evening The only drawback there was no where locally to eat out . We booked the holiday so we could attend the European International Horse trials at Blair Castle which was brilliant.
    Mrs Davenport - September 2015
The cottage lived up to our expectations, was cosy and warm and its contents met most of our needs. Our main disappointment was that the Loch Tummel Inn was closed and had been so for some time. This meant either an 10 or 18 Mile round trip to go out for a meal in the evening or eating in. The beautiful view was greatly appreciated as was watching the lambs in the field at the back of the cottage. We took a trip down to Rannock station where the cafe was own and we had a nice lunch. We also toured through Glen Lyon stopping off half way at the tea shop com post office at Bridge of Balgie and travelling back through Ben Lawers. We saw plenty of snow on the mountains and it was very cold some days.
    Mrs Swift - May 2015
Even though we got a little unlucky with the weather, it didn't matter - this house and the area is perfect place to get away and relax. The house is clean, warm, comfortable and has the best view of any holiday home I've ever stayed in. The gardens are beautiful. We woke in the morning and all we could hear were the lambs and birds! The DVD collection was a nice touch. The downsides were the pub was closed (we went early May, there was a answer message saying it would be closed till end of April for refurb, but there was no sign of any refurb going on!). The washing machine did not work so had to hand wash some things. Apart from that, we had a perfect holiday.
    Mrs Phipps - May 2015
We'll equipped cosy cottage. Only disappointment was that the pub next door was closed.
    Mrs Mcdougall - March 2015
This is a fantastic cottage offering fabulous views over Loch Tummel. The place is just as well situated for hiking in the mountains (Ben Vrackie, Shiehallion) as well as for visiting distilleries and other sights. Another highlight was the Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry in early October.
    Mr Kueenzi - September 2014
This cottage must have the most perfect view in Scotland , whether you are sitting on the sofa or the bed in the front bedroom the view is amazing.  The cottage was perfect with everything so clean and fresh and I only wished we had booked 2 weeks because we didn't want to go home.  We went to Kinloch Rannoch for a drive one day which is not far from the cottage and sat near the waters edge of loch Tay.  There are cafés in the village where you can eat and everyone was so welcoming , but to be honest although we went to Scotland to tour we was quite happy to stay in the cottage with my husband  watching people fishing on boats in Loch Tummel from the window with binoculars ...... there's so many different types of birds to see in the garden and we definitely want to go back next year but next time for 2 weeks!!
    Mrs Cook - September 2014
Once again we enjoyed a wonderful fortnight at Larach Beag with its breathtaking view over Loch Tummel and convenient accessibility to so many of North Perthshire's attractions: the inn serving excellent food within three minutes stroll of the front door, the walks through the Tay Forest Park, The Queen's View, the shops in nearby Pitlochry and its Festival Theatre, the castle at Blair Atholl, the Falls of Bruar and the magical mountain, Schiehallion.
    Mr Mckelvey - August 2014
A wonderful place with fantastic views.
Mr Arnau Navarro - August 2014
Lovely comfortable holiday cottage. The views over the loch and to the mountains beyond were incredible, and the variety of birdlife in the garden was amazing. Would definitely go again.
    Mrs Jacobs - July 2014
Comfortable, homely accommodation with unbelievable views. Wildlife on the doorstep and walks from the cottage. Real ale bar next door and good food in the restaurants and pubs around Pitlochry (would recommend Moulin Inn for both) Good centre for golfers, hikers, cyclists or just watching the loch from the comfort of your armchair
    Mrs Robson - April 2014
We had a lovely week in this cottage, the views were brilliant , the walks in the area were great . It is 10 miles to Pitlochry and the pub due to storm damage was closed , we used the butchers and co op in Pitlochry and had lovely meals cooked in the kitchen that had everything you needed . The towels and bedding were all provided and even though we didnt go out at night after a day of walking were happy to cook and have the fire on , the cottage was never cold with great wall heaters. It was great parking round the back of the cottage. There are maps in the cottage with many walks in the area s . We Will be back ( when the pubs opens and hopefully enjoy a barby as well .:)
    Mrs Gorman - March 2014
Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable, although the shower/bathroom could be better. Lots of lovely walks from the doorstep. Our only complaint was that the Inn next door was closed for the winter!
    Mr Thompson - February 2014
This was the 3rd time we have stayed at Larach Beag and it has never changed its appeal, This to us is a very relaxing place to come to ,stunning veiws and great walks all within easy driving distance,or just stay at the cottage and read whilst enjoying the veiw. Most places to visit are just a few miles away and are easy to get to. The Tummel Inn is just a wee walk away and your made to feel very welcome from the minute you walk in . Great wee Cottage , looking forward to coming back.
    Mr Cochrane - September 2013
Larach Beag is an immaculate and comfortable bungalow with spectacular views across Loch Tummel. It is also situated withing easy sight of Schiehallion and amid the wonderful walking and touring country of Tay Forest Park. Pitlochry is less than 10 miles away with its 'salmon ladder' and Festival Theatre, where one can see six different plays in a week during the summer season and enjoy sumptuous meals in its restaurant. Nearer still is The Loch Tummel Inn, which also serves excellent food and is only two minutes' walk from the bungalow's front door! In short, we would have no hesitation in recommending Larach Beag to other holidaymakers.
    Mr Mckelvey - August 2013
house very well equipped. many of kitchen utensils and crockery new. good quality towels and linens. DVD library and book library well stocked. View from front bedroom and living room stunning. Unbroken view over Loch Tummel. We liked it so much we are booked to go again. And welcome cake and bottle of wine
    Dr Galloway - May 2013
The most beautiful ever changing view you could wish for. I do so wish I could have stayed forever. We have thought of that view, daily for the past two weeks. Cottage warm and cheerful, ground floor level is a bonus. Well equipped. Perfect for recharging and relaxing. Could not get signal on O2 or Orange network, so I picked up a vodaphone sim as that signal was strong. Suitable for all ages.
    Mrs Greaveson - October 2012
This is a beautiful house in a beautiful situation.
    Mrs Smith - September 2012
    Great Cottage
    Mrs Fisher - September 2012
Second visit to this cottage located up above loch Tummel. Simple but nice with a great view and a lovely garden for dogs.
    Mr Sopp - August 2012
We enjoyed our holiday at Larach Beag enormously. It's an immaculately clean and well appointed modern bungalow with ample space and comfort and the view of Loch Tummel from the front windows is stunning. There is a village shop just 3 miles down the road and Loch Rannoch, the castle of Blair Atholl, Pitlochry, the Pass of Killiekrankie, Aberfeldy, lochs Tay, Earn and many others all within easy reach - as is the Pitlochry Festival Theatre and (last but not least) the Loch Tummel Inn and restaurant 200 yards from the front gate! When one considers that Larach Beag is also in the middle of the magnificent walking country associated withTay Forest Park and a mile or two from the Queen's View, it's hard to think of anywhere else which might be preferable for a Scottish holiday.
