Description
The renovated farm dating from 1888 will comfortably accommodate groups or families up to eight plus a baby. The open-plan kitchen with large dining table is well equipped and the living room has a wood-burning stove and French windows. All the ingredients for that well-earned quality time together. There are four spacious bedrooms (one on the ground floor with en-suite) and three bathrooms. From Lodge Farm, you will enjoy great views of the glen, the fabulous bay of Lochranza and the majestic red deer that are regular visitors on the golf course opposite the house. A great base for your visit to this beautiful island. Stop and enjoy the scenic beauty and the healing tranquillity of the mountains, the sea and the natural surroundings.
Lochranza has a lot to offer to make your stay special. Here you are treated to spectacular views across the Kilbrannan Sound and sunsets that are quite remarkable. If you like walking or climbing, there’s easy access to the hills and mountains with several wonderful routes starting in the village. You can enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities: from gorge walking to golf, climbing to kayaking and abseiling to angling there’s plenty of adventure waiting for you in Lochranza. And if you’re looking for something less strenuous, then a stroll along the shore and watch the seals, otters and if you're lucky maybe a pod of dolphins or a visit to the nearby Arran whisky distillery or the ruins of Lochranza Castle might suit you better. There is also a ferry that will take you across to Clonaig on the Kintyre Penninsula and nearby Skipness for a fresh fish lunch or dinner!
The Isle of Arran is known for its spectacular scenery and varied landscape: from rugged peaks to idyllic sandy bays overlooked by palm trees. There are coastal caves and scenic trails and pathways leading to mysterious Bronze Age stone circles. If you're looking for an active outdoor break, a relaxing scenic getaway or submersion in Scottish tradition and history - Arran is the answer.
