Overlooking the Findhorn Bay, Monessie is a newly renovated property that sits in a spectacular position, with panoramic views across the bay. This traditional property has been completely modernised to a high standard throughout, and contains many luxurious aspects that holidaymakers will love.

The sitting room and dining room are located at the front of the property, meaning the waterside views from the window are truly lovely. There is no TV in this room (who could take their eyes off that view, after all!) but there is a separate, smaller lounge for a quiet or TV room.

The kitchen/dining area is a great room that everyone will love. The kitchen contains all of the modern appliances and the dining room is host to a long table with colourful chairs around it that really ‘pop’ against the sleek, minimalist backdrop of the kitchen - a beautiful, contemporary space.

A stunning ANTA tartan carpet leads you up the staircase to three further bedrooms. Each room has been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard, in keeping with the style of the rest of the house.

The bathroom on the ground floor has been adapted for wheelchair users, and one of the bedrooms connects to this bathroom making this property disability friendly. There is a separate WC off the hall and both the front and back gardens have disabled access.

Findhorn is a great holiday destination, with plenty to do in the village itself. Hire a kayak or paddleboard and potter around in the bay at your leisure, or take a boat trip out to spot bird and marine life, with dolphins if you are lucky. Monessie is right in the heart of the village, with the pubs, shop, cafe and bakery all within a short walk. Further afield, there are lots of golf courses, walking trails and various historical sites in the surrounding area that are worth a visit, so you won’t be stuck for things to do during your break at this fantastic property.

    Monessie reviews
This sets a new bar for us on how good a rental can be. Monessie is spacious and well appointed. The kitchen is well-equipped, beds large and comfortable and we had a choice of rooms for us all to spend time together. Excellent to be able to access Amazon Prime and Netflix for the rainy days, lots of games and puzzles too. The gardens are large and beautiful - so much so that tourists walking past would regularly stop to admire them. Garden furniture meant we could all sit and watch the tide come in while drinking a glass of wine. This is a fantastic property and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We appreciated the tea and shortbread on arrival. Loved the spacious communal spaces that enabled our large family group to be together easily. Splendid living room with floor length embroidered curtains and a range of books , games and jigsaws. Lovely views from two bedrooms of Findhorn bay. Comfortable bath and lovely showers upstairs and downstairs. Well appointed garden with range of shrubs and flowers that inspired the gardeners in our group. Parking facilities very good but gate a bit narrow. Do put a visitors book on the house to collect comments.

We had a wonderful time at Monessie as it was perfectly situated to enjoy the views of the Bays. The house was very spacious and beautifully decorated throughout. There was ample crockery and amazing white goods , the kitchen is particularly beautiful and has an excellent position also. Only complaint ; if it is one the beds were too soft ( but this is really just a preference ). We would definitely use Monessie again.
    Mrs Hill - April 2019
Our family spent Christmas week at Monessie House. This is a beautifully modernised home in a wonderful location. We were initially puzzled by the location of the main switches for the ovens and dishwasher. A bedroom chair would be useful, but we borrowed one from elsewhere. The kitchen is fabulous but not extensively equipped, and we managed very well. The outside space is beautiful and clearly recently re landscaped. It helped a lot that the weather over Christmas was beautiful and we had walks in the Culbin forest and on the beach every day. A lovely house and a memorable family occasion.

Great property well furnished and kitted out. Very good Garden space with many sitting options . It is looked looking out directly over Findhorn bay Very good pub with food 300 yds and at rear local bakery and coffee shop 250 yds both very good Can walk to beach or drive with easy parking
    Mr Grant - August 2018
The house is perfect, house and gardens renovated beautifully. We had lovely weather. Sitting outside the front of the house with amazing views watching the world go by was great. House was of a very high standard by way of comfort and equipment. We could not have asked for a more relaxing break, we did not want to leave.
