This is a truly exceptional, purpose-built large holiday house in a great location that must offer unsurpassed facilities and presentation. Designed as a holiday house, it is a much loved family home finished to the highest standards, meticulously thought through and wonderfully stylish, yet managing to retain a great sense of welcome and warmth. The rooms are spacious and bright and the kitchen is exceptional and the perfect place to gather. There are two sitting rooms with the more formal one benefiting from a wood burning stove and 180 degrees of windows to give a wonderfully bright room with marvelous views. The bedrooms are nearly all en-suite and finished to the same exacting standards as the rest of the house. The house has a ground source heating system making it most environmentally friendly.

Outside you will find the "Ceilidh Barn", a simply superb space filled with delights like snooker and pool tables, table tennis, roulette, table football as well as a 58" flat screen TV with surround sound, large wood burner, bathroom and kitchen area. Perfect for a dance, ideal for west coast rainy days and just perfect for a fun evening. There are two all weather tennis courts (bring racquets and balls) and 2.5 miles of salmon fishing on the private beat of the river Carron is available by arrangement with the estate. The large country holiday house is set in open land so there is great seclusion along with outstanding views to the sea and the mountains behind, all to be enjoyed from either of the two patios with garden furniture to take advantage.

New Lodge is just a few minutes drive to the railway station; trains runs from Inverness to the Kyle of Lochalsh and Inverness is the station to change trains even if you come from as far away as London! The village of Locharron, by car, is 5 minutes away where there are bistros, local shops and pub and an easy drive takes you to gems like Plockton, Shieldeig, Skye and Applecross. Wherever you go, you will be drawn back to this unsurpassed house. Make no mistake, if you enjoy welcoming luxury, stunning facilities and 5* experience then this is for you.

Great location and facilities. Four families and we all loved it.
    Mr Mccourt - May 2019
I couldn’t recommend this house more highly. When I say it has everything you need, it has more than most family house would have. We used this house for a reunion of friends from all over. We climbed munros, visited Skye, had a day at the beach, swam in the river, had a ceilidh in the ceilidh barn, a birthday bbq, competed in the Applecross Highland Games, cooked local seafood, mountain biked, enjoyed many dinners round the superb dining room table and slept fantastically well in the comfortable beds. We had a great time and this house provided the best setting possible for all of these activities. The bedrooms are large and the bathrooms and showers are great no matter how many people are showering. The boot rooms and utility rooms provide a great space for lots of people to get ready for a day out. The views are spectacular and the fact that tesco deliver made catering for 18 people a lot easier. Thank you for a great week.
    Miss Morison - July 2018
The standard of furnishings and fittings is excellent and there is masses of space for a big group. Well done to the architect. We were a group of 15 ranging in ages from 12-83. All were impressed with New Lodge. The kitchen is very well equipped and Tesco delivers! One of our party has mobility challenges and the downstairs twin room was ideal. Location is good with lots to do locally and the house is brilliantly equipped so lots to do on site. We had a great day with sea kayak plockton ( www.sea and Loch Carron Golf Club was entertaining. We enjoyed driving to Applecross via Beslach na Ba and were pleased to have set off promptly after breakfast to avoid traffic. Roddy is a source of great local knowledge for those who want to fish for salmon and sea trout. The river is delightful. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday and our children are already saying they want to return.
    Mr Hawley - July 2017
Absolutely stunning. We weren't quite sure what to expect but New Lodge exceeded all of our expectations. Loads of space, quality furnishings, well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Ceilidh Barn is great fun. Fabulous walks and outstanding views. Take a trip to Plockton - good food at Plockton Hotel and Inverewe Gardens at Poolewe. We would definitely go back.
    Mr Walls - June 2017
The house exceeded our expectations for location, layout and every imaginable fitting and fixture. There is plenty to do in all kinds of weather and for all ages. Although there are no corner shops the Spar at Lochcarron is excellent, Tesco will deliver and the hotel at Strathcarron provides high quality meals.
    Mr Nash - July 2016
The weather at Lochcarron broke all records - not a drop of rain and almost continuous blue skies and sunshine. The only thing that was difficult was the 2 1/2 miles of fishing, as the river levels were so low. Superb house - very modern, and a very high standard of joinery, furniture and pictures. It has two tennis courts, lots of bikes, a huge games building with table tennis, billiards, pool table, etc. all perfect for seven boys + they could drive an endless supply of golf balls across 400yds of deer and sheep cropped fields. Magnificent scenery! We drove over to Applecross across the highest road in Britain (Applecross Inn very good for lunch); we visited Attadale Gardens at Stratcarron and Eileen Donan Castle, went seal watching at Plocton, rode fell ponies, bathed in the sea and picnicked on remote coves. Some of us walked for eleven exhausting miles with magnificent scenery from Strathcarron to Torridon, and our son had to drive 29 miles to pick us up! Donny Macleod was delightful, and a brilliant cook - we had wonderful meals.
