Surrounded by stunning Highland scenery, this truly exceptional purpose-built holiday home makes a fabulous retreat for up to eighteen guests. This is an ideal property for a family or a group looking for a fantastic base for a celebration or get-together and offers a separate ceilidh barn which is perfect for a dance or relaxing. Situated just metres from the edge of the beautiful Loch Carron, the main house has been designed especially as a holiday home and has been tastefully furnished and stylishly decorated with meticulous attention to detail. With plenty of spacious rooms – including two lounges, a plush dining room, elegant kitchen and seven charming bedrooms – the lodge offers a warm welcome and guarantees a memorable break. Catering and housekeeping can be arranged while you’re staying.

This bright and inviting property has been beautifully designed and features a series of light and spacious living spaces which are perfect for relaxing in at the end of a great day out. You can enjoy panoramic rural views from most of the rooms, and the house also has a ground source heating system, making it environmentally friendly. Most of the attractively furnished bedrooms are en-suite, and the adjacent ceilidh barn is packed with features to occupy you during your stay.

On entering the house, you will find two delightful lounges: one serves as a cosy family/TV room with home cinema, while the drawing room has plenty of comfortable seating, a traditional wood burner, wet bar and 180° windows with marvellous views. Exploring further, the stylish and spacious kitchen is fully equipped and features an AGA, wine fridge and farmhouse-style kitchen table perfect for breakfasts and informal meals. For special celebrations you can use the elegant and beautifully furnished dining room. The ground floor also features a cosy twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room. There’s also a utility room, shower room with WC, boot room and two entrance halls.

Two sets of staircases lead to the first floor. The main staircase leads to three en-suite super king-size bedrooms (two with bathrooms, one with a shower room), two twin rooms each with a set of bunks (one with an en-suite shower room), and a family bathroom. A separate staircase leads to a king-size room with an en-suite shower room.

Outside, you will find the superb ceilidh barn, which is equipped with snooker and pool tables, table tennis, roulette, table football, a large TV and wood burner, as well as a kitchen and bathroom. This is an ideal space for a celebration or fun evening together. In the grounds of the house, there are two patios with garden furniture, two all-weather tennis courts and plenty of space to run and play. Salmon fishing is available by arrangement on the private beat of the River Carron.

Set on the remote Applecross Peninsula, this wonderful property is just half a mile from the charming hamlet of Strathcarron in the beautiful Wester Ross region. The local train station is half a mile away and takes you through to Inverness or the Kyle of Lochalsh. There are miles of breathtaking scenery to explore throughout Wester Ross, with the Strathcarron hills and Torridon all within easy reach. Local attractions include the sublime Attadale Gardens (3 miles), Rassal Wood (10.5 miles) and the pretty village of Lochcarron (3.5 miles) on the loch's northern shore. Lochcarron has a choice of shops, bistros and a pub, as well as a nine-hole golf course. It's also home to the Kyle Line, one of the world's most scenic rail routes. The nearby village of Plockton (15 miles) is a picturesque jewel set in a sheltered Loch Carron bay and surrounded by a hilly landscape. Plockton has a delightful harbour and a beach with palm trees, pleasure boats and Highland cattle. There's a range of great places to eat and drink, and activities include cycling, fishing trips and seal spotting. For more, you could go climbing, hill walking, sailing, golf, watersports, angling and birdwatching, or simply enjoy some of the wonderful local pubs and restaurants.

What an incredible home for our family to enjoy - we had such a lovely week, the weather was glorious and the setting was breathtaking..every day it brought such joy to just soak up the sounds and sights around us.
