With views out across rolling fields, this impressive stone Aberdeenshire holiday house has been renovated to offer airy, stylish accommodation for large groups of guests.

Set in the heart of Scotland’s ‘castle country’, this spacious holiday home, sleeping 14 guests, is surrounded by spectacular rolling countryside and picture-perfect views. It’s the ideal spot for friends and family to gather together and enjoy a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings with wonderful historical attractions, sporty adventures and family-friendly activities nearby. The house has been lovingly restored to its former glory and is well-equipped with everything you need for an incredibly comfortable stay.

Inside, you’ll find three storeys with wonderful views over rolling fields and traditional country-style furniture alongside contemporary touches in calm inviting tones. There’s at least one bedroom on each floor, and ample room for everyone to spread out and find their own favourite nook of this handsome home.

On the ground floor, you’ll find the heart of the home: a bright and airy kitchen and dining area with a dining table for 12 and a charming Aga – perfect for the cook in your party. There’s also a separate formal dining room with a smaller dining table and a warming wood burner. After dinner, head into the living room where another toasty wood burner (first basket of logs supplied), a TV and comfortable sofas all call for relaxed evenings together. There’s a king-size bedroom (zip-and-link) with an en-suite bathroom, and a double bedroom with an en-suite wet room on this floor.

As night falls, climb the magnificent sweeping staircase to the first floor. You’ll find a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room which has a spectacular feature stained-glass window, adding a stylish splash of colour to the space.

As you reach the second floor, you’ll find the four remaining bedrooms, all bright and airy. Each one is individually designed with its own colour theme and has its own en-suite. There are two double bedrooms and two king-size bedrooms (zip-and-link and easily adapted to twin beds).

Enjoy morning coffee outside in your own private garden, where you can all relax and enjoy the views along with your four-legged friends. Walk down to the nearby pool house and enjoy a dip in the heated pool.  Plan great group adventures for the day and, on your return, enjoy a long soak in the hot tub as you all relax and gaze up at the stars. Private parking is available for guests.

We had a very enjoyable holiday in Newton House which had excellent facilities for our large family gathering. The property is situated in a very quiet and beautiful location convenient for the beach and also inland walks around the NT properties which are situated very close by. We will be coming back.
