An absolutely enchanting "B" listed cottage built using the lovely red Angus sandstone, North Lodge is a perfect hideaway for a great holiday. Suitable as either a romantic getaway, a small family base or an ideal sporting base, this cottage is in a quiet location yet has great access to many opportunities.

The house has been newly renovated and is presented in a very stylish and modern way yet has all the comforting cosiness of a country cottage. The conservatory with its solid wood beams is especially inviting and the wood burning stove means the cottage is a delight all year round. There are two double bedrooms with the master room on the first floor.

Nearby is the east coast with some lovely beaches such as Lunan Bay or perhaps a round or two of golf at Carnoustie. For those who enjoy wildlife the Nature reserve at Montrose is a joy. You may be lucky enough to enjoy your own wildlife display from the cottage with regular visits from the local red squirrel population. The city of Dundee has every facility you could need and the Discovery is a great day out. In September 2018 the new V&A museum opens and will offer a fascinating day along with the stunning new building to see.

North Lodge is a charming place – ideal for 2 or 4 people and a restful holiday spot in delightful surroundings. One not to miss.

    North Lodge reviews
A spacious and yet warm and cosy cottage in the perfect location for exploring Angus and Aberdeenshire. It's well equipped and easy to be in, providing a really relaxing base. We had such a warm, friendly welcome and a really lovely holiday.
    Ms John - October 2018
Possibly the nicest place we’ve ever stayed. Very modern, clean and with the loveliest welcoming touches-roses, a bed and treats for the dog, biscuits, jam and curd and a hand written card with a photo North Lodge on. We felt special within minutes of walking in. North Lodge is so relaxing and had everything we needed and more. (We don’t get Netflix at home so it was a bit of a treat). The owners have decorated it in a modern way with high end furnishings. Lunan beach was spectacular. Easy parking and pretty much empty. We booked Gordon’s restaurant and Tollbooth seafood restaurant in Stonehaven ahead and both were superb. We were really pleased that we found this gem.
    Mr Martin - August 2018
We had a fantastic stay at North Lodge right from arrival through to departure, this place is a hidden gem! We were greeted on arrival by the owner and we immediately settled into our home for the week, there was a lovely hamper waiting for us with some essentials, some milk in the fridge and a nice treat for our dog. The house is beautifully furnished, spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean with every amenity you could possibly need, we loved sitting in the conservatory at night and the garden was great and very secure for the dog. The location is great for exploring giving us a thoroughly enjoyable time and well deserved break. We would highly recommend North Lodge!
    Mrs Newton - June 2018
Time spent 19.05.2018 till 26.05.2018 Having spent many hours finding the right cottage for us in the internet we finally booked "The North Lodge" hoping that it would keep it's promises. The North Lodge is a cosy little place which welcomes you with a complete new and tasteful furniture and a tranquil atmosphere. As we have been only the second tenants, it was immaculately clean and looked still brand new. The kitchen has all the provisions to satisfy cooking ideas, the dishwasher, washing machine and all the other electrical macinery like tumble dryer and micro wave were in perfect order. The stove in the living room was provided with enough wood for evenings with a nice log fire, the little garden attached has been in good shape inviting you to sit outside. The bathroom is a bit small but is sufficient for the purpose of a holiday home. A booklet we found covering "how to get round" for food shopping and restaurants in the vicinity was well made and gave helpful ideas. The selection of restaurants or pubs in Arbroath is rather limited, so we recommend self catering. In case of questions, Sarah (the owner) was looking after us. To cut al ong sttry short - The North lodge was exactly the place we had in mind, we came to the conclusion that this cottage would be the place we would by if we were to decide for our own holiday home in Scotland
